Change Level 4 spell Jewel

People complain about not having enough diamonds enough without them being the level 4 item so why not change that? Instead it could be:

Large Diamond = White
Large Sapphire = Blue
Large Amethyst = Black

I've suggested those Jewels because they already give magic defence in crafting that way so it would be in keeping with how the game was originally designed.

-1 to keeping dia for white spells, there arent many white mages anyway i think this would lill it off further maybe large emerald?

Nah.

The problem isn't that mages don't find diamonds, they do, the problem is they only need diamonds and there price is directly inflated as a result of them being required for other items.

A new recipe should be created, 1 sp, at, db + 1 sd = lvl 4 spell item. We really shouldnt have the most valuable recoil item attached to spells.

It used to be the same problem with accuracy and attack being tied to keen's. More item value diversity is better.

Not sure about mage sd availability as ive found 1 sd during entire nm lvling and some fm hunting. done at least 20-25k valks and not seen 1 sd.

only allow SS to be used for +6 - +8 and dias will become cheaper and weapons not so over powered

No, thats never going to work as players already have up to 20% worth of extra recoil from the first 5 swifts. There is no way to put the genie back in the bottle without nerfing/taking existing weps already made.

The solution is to bridge the gap and bring the lower recoil players up, increase survivability via hp + def/md so fights feel slightly longer but not pot wars.

The way i think it should be done is introduce a new mid range recoil upgrade,

Tab of greater evil 5-14%

recipe
toe + 1 sd

This would slot nicely in between 3-12 (toe) and 6-16 (ss) The average recoil would go up with successful weps landing between 10-14 average while the the top tier would maintain 13-16. It would also encourage more upgrades of lesser att/tags weps which would in turn help those without.

Irrelevant, for the next weapon release this could be implemented, cant not change something because it has been used and now it cant be, or else nothing would ever change
