Is it possible to get at least double the stock of crafting materials. Possibly, even during x2 events?
Anything would surely help the crafters on their wonderous adventure to 200 skill. Just a thought. |

Mat restocks need increasing.
Frequencies of restocks need shortening to every 10/20 minutes. |

"RAVENSOUL"Mat restocks need increasing. If skills being increase, restock is must. I can't imagine how hard 250 will be. |

Any news on possibility of mats restocks been increased?
Any news on frequency of mat restocks being altered so they restock much quicker? |

Dan said he didn’t want to do it. He’s said he’s introducing a mining and fishing facility.
Personally mats increased would be the best option and I’m sure many other would agree. |

This mining and fishing idea as much as it might help slightly it will just become a novelty like the farm ended up being.
Crafters just want to craft, I keep banging on about this but this is the truth, we do not enjoy mat running collect mats, we do not enjoy competing against other crafters for the minuscule amounts of mats in the shops, we do not enjoy waiting around 40, 50, 60 minutes for a few thousand mats that are crafting in 10 minutes. Players won’t farm for crafting mats, metal, wood, leather, linen, bones, liver, meats due to the bag weight and time required. Especially out of town knowing any moment they could be attacked, so to give yourself a fighting chance to survive maybe a hit or two before possibly warping back to town your going to be required to use up a fair bit of your bag weight to aid you. The only way farming for mats would tempt players were if for example farming for metal if rocks dropped at weight 1-2 and maybe smelted down and returned 10-20-30 at a time. For livers it could be a large liver that extracted 10-20-30 normal livers. A carcass that could be extracted for 10-20-30 meats A skin that could be disassembled for 10-20-30 leather Tree branch that could be disassembled for 10-20-30 wood The above is just examples on how to work around bag weight of players to farm long enough to make it worthwhile otherwise anything you add into soma to try tempt players away from needing to buy mats from shops will be a complete waste of your time, energy and effort. Edit - burning through enough mats to last the 2 hours for 0.1 weapon craft skill at moment is around 13,320 metal and 4,440 leather for daggers. Buying mats is the only way for players to cut down on there time wasted being a crafter.

One more point about this concept of farming/gathering mats for crafters.....
How long has the farm been in soma? How many players actually use it for what it was created for? Apart from the alt gems the only players that venture into the farm are to use the extraction npc and to get there 110 craft skill robes. The tannin+corpse to get leather.... How many actual players even bother with this method? Farming corpses is a complete waste of time especially for the amount of leather that is returned.

ppl were complaining a few weeks ago that barr was worthless and they had nothing to spend it on...
last 3 weeks, tiger leather and orc metals have been available virtually 24/7 . had 0 probs getting mats... cant speak for pot/cook stuff.. but tonnes of linen always available too for armour crafters if u was trying to do accessory crafting, a slight increase of copper would be useful 50 minute intervals could go down to 30 or 20 mins for a decent.. but not overly generous boost Other side of the coin.. possibly coz there aint that many mats, there aren't many ppl crafting atm.. certainly wouldnt be enough mats to sustain more than a dozen or so crafters..as at present like the idea of some fishing x
