used for a couple of quests now..
but maybe they could be traded in.. for eg 1 old leather = 5 red leather the old metal = 5 red mets etc would help with crafting actual items as opposed to gaining skill. and leave the store supplies to be bought by players levelling up their craft skill

Yes it would be a nice way to see the synthesis skill be used again by having a way to upgrade the level of lower teir mats into higher teir by mixing them or a trade in shop
