The game's life curve has evidently entered into something that a new player would have to spend a lot of time to even cap let alone get good items to compete.
Is there any reason why a level boost to 90 or 100 for £10 donation isn't implemented? You can easily restrict it to 1 or 2 per person, not applicable if you already have a capped player (find this out via IP address/I am sure the GMs know who is who by now), etc The reason I suggest it is I started playing GW2, it's an interesting and free game, after trying it out I'm tempted to pay to receive the level boost. On here this character is level 97 so I am not asking for myself.

I like the idea but lvl 100 is achievable in 3 weeks now, it’s the last 35 levels that will get you, (I can level my lvl 79 character in about 2 hours a lvl, archer).
Stat distribution would also be an issue, would it be a perfect character for lvl 100? Or a +30 route? Or less? If anything just constant rested to lvl 100 would help. The gap in attaining gear is now smaller than ever (excluding new weapons), so I don’t think gear changes would help. What would get loads playing is a browser version / tablet version, if they made a fresh server and advertised it as a Facebook game it would likely get ridiculous playercounts. This all costs a lot of time and money though.

"CHOJINE"I like the idea but lvl 100 is achievable in 3 weeks now, it’s the last 35 levels that will get you, (I can level my lvl 79 character in about 2 hours a lvl, archer). I think the latter is something that would take a bit too much time. Given the GMs have experminted and gone quite deep into stats I am sure they could offer 2 or 3 "classes". The alternative should be extremely fast rested until 100 or 105 in exchange for a donation, I think it would help recruit new players who once get a flavour of the game would be happy to donate for that boost.

There was some down time and i think it would be a blast - dan has been really good to us and we are all greatful so if not no problem. no need to get toxic

maybe after the event is over they could look at perma rested until lvl 80 by donation or something but buying a char with stats is a big NO NO
