Hey guys,
I'm a returning player from back in the old esoma days. I have made a char on dsoma but I seem to get DC every 5 or 10 minutes? I have searched the forum for DC topics and tried several things. Changed IP address Changed affinity CPU Changed comparability modes Made sure it's updated to latest patch and I'm only using one window, one client. Not sure if I'm missing anything but does anyone have any suggestions? Really want to start playing again. Thanks

"VORKAI"Hey guys, Its a bug in game - happens to everyone - not everyone dcs from game tho- run a character in game for 10 -20 mins ctrl q and u will get a dc error message - affects anvil and proc

Its a bug in game - happens to everyone - not everyone dcs from game tho- run a character in game for 10 -20 mins ctrl q and u will get a dc error message - affects anvil and proc [/quote]

As for the d/c problem it might be a blessing in disguise... In that a small minority of players are hell bent in driving players away one way or another. If your seen talking to someone that this small minority group of players is an enemy of you will be placed on there hit list. If your seen buying/selling to someone that this small minority group of players is an enemy of you will be placed on there hit list. If your seen talking to, or asking advice etc from players that are the enemy of this small minority group of players you will be placed of there hit list. This small minority of paranoid pathetic individuals have characters in all levels so be prepared to be visited by numerous characters trying to attack you within 20-30 seconds one after the other and if your still too low for all there characters they will attack and kill the mob you was attacking for spite ( which is fecking funny as feck to watch ) If this hasn’t put you off playing this server, good because there are many good, decent players that will be happy to help you, just ask around town.

are you running on wired or wireless? have you tried using pingzapper. you get a 7 day free trial. that will tell you if there are micro outages between yourself and the server on the ISP side.

Yeah I'm running wireless.

it could be micro drop outs. have you tried using a wired connection?
homeplug adapters can work for this also if its not near router maybe try pingzapper did you re-install the generic driver? did ya try other versions of wireless network driver? maybe change the channel in router settings.

Not sure how to change the resolution ?
It's in window mode and it isn't a square screen if you know what I mean, it's slightly stretched. This could be the issue.

It is in the .ini file in the soma folder, should be able to open as a text file, change it to a resolution that’s in the computer display settings. These are stable resolutions.
I’m sure others in here will post settings they run at that are stable. |
