Changes to boss monopoly

I wouldn't say I was casual. But i'm definitely not hardcore.

I think there is a massive problem where we have people using multiple chars logged at boss spawn points. So these bosses are dead before anyone else can get to them.

I'm not saying hardcore players shouldn't have the edge, they should, that's the whole point of putting in the grind. But, there's people that cannot contest some bosses.

My solution - Add a timer based on activity. If a player has a set amount of activity (mob kills, not just time logged in) per week. They can contest bosses the following week. This would mean hardcore players can still get bosses on their mains, and due to their play time more so than someone who plays less. However, it would also restrict the boss killing to literally, someone's main.

Not sure how easy this would be to implement. Just randomising boss spawns (even down to the map they spawn on) would be a start to be honest.

There has never, ever been any fun in monopolising bosses by utilising 10+ accounts with gifted chars.

no immunity within range 10 of a boss. and theres 5 minutes warning before a boss spawns

100% agree. There is like 2/3 people that have been monopolising the bosses on Hsoma for the last year. I can't play Soma 24/7 so when I was on I would try to fight for the boss but they just go immune then. I did try to get it changed back then but was just met with "DL monopolise boss reee".

Some options would be-
- Takes 5mins to log off outside of town.
- Logging off outside of town will return you to town.
- No Immunity on a map where there is a high value boss alive.

Most of these ideas are just stolen from Albion but I do think they nailed a lot of the issues that Soma has.
