Didn't realise there was a post here about rates but this was my idea I posted in ideas and suggestions.
As many have stated being a parent reduces the time we can play so it would be amazing if there was a way for us to stay relevant still for the time we can play. Just thinking with a lot of people requesting x2 to be permanent maybe worth increasing the stat gains from rested by x3 rather than a full blanket increase. This would increase leveling speed when you're rested to that nicer speed people are wanting but also limit the speed a fraction. Could maybe also then tie drop rate increase into a weekly event or maybe certain maps have a better chance on a cycled rotation

This would not fix the economy and players would have to rely on rested gains then.

It's just a thought for gms to consider if they don't want to straight up make 2x permanent
As I said like most I don't have time to spend in game so something to help keep me going would be helpful just didn't know if a permanent x2 would happen full or not. Think Dan said he might have time to look at soma this weekend so fingers crossed rates are on his radar

No they wouldn't. They're still capable of levelling without rested, extra levelling speed with rested just gives those who actually have lives outside of Soma a bit of extra help without being overly helpful for those who live and breathe Soma. 3x rested rates is a good suggestion imo.

What do you mean players would have to rely on rested gains? No they wouldn't. They're still capable of levelling without rested, extra levelling speed with rested just gives those who actually have lives outside of Soma a bit of extra help without being overly helpful for those who live and breathe Soma.

All you have to do to see how bad the time invested versus rewards is, is a simple test regarding rates (levelling/drops)
Make a new character and do it yourself without any help from your previous character’s or help from the community this challenge is for everyone including iSylver and Finito. Maximum 2 hours per day game time, pure levelling, healing, con, no use of previous gear, no charity from the community just from shops, drops, trade, and see how far you get.

Esoma for those who wish to have a challenge Increased rates for those who haven't got the time but wish to keep up with those who do have the time. |
