Good to see your still around Lupi, hope all is well.
As much as I would agree in principle that a server wipe/rewind might actually fix some of the problems that soma has at the moment, sadly I feel it would also create a whole load more. ISylver has made it clear numerous times he’s against a server wipe/rewind and if he did do it he would walk away, he would be done with this soma for every. Now if he did this server wipe/rewind he might just leave the server up and running and possibly ask Finito to check in from time to time to reboot if and when server crashed. But there would be no more GM’s no more updates, nothing new and any bugs wouldn’t be fixed. We all know the amount of botters that’s happening well the flood gates would just open 50, 100 fold because gm’s wouldn’t be here. The hardcore 24/7 players would still be able to monopolies bosses etc they would still be highest, strongest etc Not sure if you remember how slow esoma rates where, I do as though it was yesterday, took me 6 months collecting mats and crafting from 100-130 weapon craft skill for that second special repair, it was brutal. The levelling 12 hours for maybe 6% experience if I was lucky. Drop rates were shocking and that was with 3-400 players playing, can you imagine with the low UC here it would be the end. Not sure if you’ve played dsoma but there drop rates at present remind me of esoma so it would be the end of soma.

well balanced reply?
if there's no way of stopping cheating, then the end is already nigh. players left active are quite well populated with buyers and cheaters.. not all.. but plenty. if there was a rewind..and ye quite proly there won't be coz isylver has as good as given up ere.. one way to stop buyers and sellers to a large extent would be to make all +3+ items bound to the player...so they couldn't be sold or traded.. as regards auto aim/pot/serum/botter cheats.. no idea... maybe something Fin could sort out... but let's be honest... why would the gm's bother.. What's here is a shell of a game, that was once great, and has been spoiled by lack of gm interest and that's because of cheating players..and that's a fact gg Mitchy.. get ur money's worth while the server still running lol Gm's know what the problem is here.. whether they decide to deal with it, up to them.. probably not going by the last 8 years

You can never stop people cheating/boting with just software, you can spend hundreds of hours putting stuff in place to prevent it and people bybass it in a few hours. It's just the fun nature of anticheat. The only way to prevent it to any meaningful extent is some sort of admin presence - bots are rampant because they get away with it. It's not even a new thing though, is it? It's just become more prevalent recently because now there's a really good reason to have overgeared chars whacking shanis or whatever 20 hours a day.
A wipe and esoma slow levels is not the answer. It never has been and never will be. There would be 3 of you playing, still arguing over who hit the forest troll first.

How ironic..
GM being lenient with cheaters, with the idea of protecting the UC over the years.. and the game's left with most of the buyers and cheaters getting their moneys worth ..and the rest of the players have left. Oh well.. Fujitora saw the problem 7 years ago.. as did many others.. now long gone. Lol, just a game..well..it was.
