Unfortunately this server is run by people who don't know how to implement anti-cheat client(s) to games, which is why this client is continually being reverse-engineered with absolute ease and bot's re-written.

I've only just started playing again, and I'm not remotely interested in cheating at all in a 20-odd year old FREE game. there is ZERO benefit to it, and it says more about the person/people willing to cheat than the ones trying to run the game (I believe it's mostly one person doing the programming and selling it to others, don't know about the Koreans however, they might have some one also).

There is only so much you can do without implementing an anti-cheat system such as punkbuster etc, even then it will probably still be reverse- engineered by someone who wants a slight challenge. This is the game for them, to get around vulnerabilities rather than the game itself (and they/him are making real life money from it)


I'd like all those who cheat to be banned, just like everyone, but think about it; at what cost? It's futile to ban these individuals as it then drives the numbers down even more than they are at currently. Invest in a proper anti-cheat system, or don't bother at all banning. Don't blame people for reverse-engineering security vulnerabilities in a client for a game which isn't being invested in seriously - and realistically, why would it be? it's an old game most play for nostalgic reasons. As others have said, there are other concerns about this game which are greater than people using bots to farm materials.

I've just started to casually log in and hit a few pixels for the first time in a few years, what's wrong with stating that? however I'm part of the discord community for this server and browse from time to time whilst I'm working. You clearly don't know my position in life or what I do, but I don't expect you to know.

From my understanding it is mainly one individual writing the bot(s), it might well be more than one individual, I could certainly be incorrect as you are eluding to here?
