The amount of bots running rampant at hellions is sad to see. Why is this not being dealt with?

Started when that 4634/daenarys guy was caught botting by Finito himself, but for some reason he was unbanned.

If you were one of the few genuine players left, why would you even bother? You either use the bot yourself or quit, and it seems many took the latter option.

Its sad too see btw. Never botted never will but craft and hunt bots are just out of control.

I feel Finito... Dan doesnt even bother anymore and why should he...

Also so many fucking toxic people... I already would have closed the server ages ago coz half of the server players are just total dicks who never have had a fist in their faces ...

I love this and said it for years, The end of this server will wake so many people up and i will laugh my head off & continue my journey on my own server haha.

Reason I don’t bother logging in anymore, to many bots, the economy is broken due to bots and players over pricing stuff etc, all down to certain players is the reason the game is dying.
Seems true fin and Dan cba and tbh I don’t blame them, we have had no updates since may and why should they update? I wouldn’t cos the players don’t deserve it

Always weird when people blame the players for botting. The awful design from the valour update made the botting go through the roof, then the usual people got caught time after time with no consequences... Why wouldn't others look at that and join in?

They decided to do update after update that pushed away all the pve players and then everyone acts surprised when most of the remaining players are the most toxic of the 'pvp' players.

At the moment we have only one active GM Finito and it’s true we haven’t had any news, updates in awhile. Don’t forget Finito has been tirelessly tweaking and working his magic for weeks on end, changing the success rate at anvil, changes to drop files, increasing drop rates etc but finito also has a life, job etc so cut him some slack.

ISylver I understand is taking a break for family/personal reasons so don’t give up on him returning in the future between the two of them they have given a lot of years, time, energy on this server.

I don't think anyone would argue otherwise, Raven. They're both doing/did the work on here on a strictly spare time basis.

That does nothing to excuse the fact that someone caught botting multiple times, by Fin himself, received essentially no punishment. The fact that they've been banned a few times in the past for being a complete and utter cunt doesn't really help.

The valour update was a joke, full of unbalanced nonsense no one wanted or asked for. Botting became the easiest way by a long way to get the new stupidly strong weapons. Bots became rampant, nothing happened about it. Some characters were logged in for days at a time, catching them and associated characters would have been a few minutes work - nothing happened.

The dumb things like increasing crafting skill to 250 and then making it relevant to the upgrade system, coupled with the previous update making Barr supremely valuable... Was anyone actually surprised that you just end up with a small army of crafting bots?

Not to mention the fact that drops were 'looked at' and *still* the stuff players actually want does not drop from regular mobs. It's a joke and it's no wonder hardly anyone bothers to play in a legit manner.

Yeah, it's frustrating that a small group of life failures can kill the server with so much botting but it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Design got us here and the not caring about catching people kept us here.

I agree with most of what you say 3D, I’ve seen countless botters in various areas in soma more so over last year.

Completely agree the lack of punishment hasn’t help the server, and it’s harder to grasp when the same players cheating are caught over and over and then unbanned, it doesn’t send the right message in my eyes.

I would love soma to be 100% cheater free, every genuine gamer would like games to be without cheaters, but the sad fact is just like in real life there are people that want everything without having to put any effort into working for it.

I’ve said many times in past why play games if you resort to cheating??? I’m a gamer I enjoy the challenge, I enjoy the journey however long it takes.

It hunts for them then warps, goes to wh to get pots presumably then takes off armour repairs then runs back to hellions/apai cultists. haig/hazmat/kustons/cdt are the ones ive seen all doing the same thing. Unfortunately I doubt there will be any consequences.

Yeah Willow constantly online... sometimes if I'm bored I will try trade it and fuck the bot up. It's funny how much it rages when it gets back to the computer screen.

Its about time the community did something about it and made a vanilla Myth Of Soma. Fin & Dan have zero interest in doing this. You will never see legitimate people return to this cesspit of a bot's dream.

I'll go back to playing and enjoying Mir 2 now. Just like I have for the past 15 years. At least they get stuff right and its not controlled by 1 person.
