Want to know why other MMORPGS that are as old and similar to Soma are still thriving? Because they either do Seasonal wipes or start new servers. Anyone that disagrees is a fool and is part of the cesspit of why this game is completely dead in the water surrounded by botted for gear and nothing but a toxic waste of a 10 playercount community which consists of nothing but bullying and insults.

The pking isn't the problem tbh, it's the fact that you are all using botted gear to kill people. Then when they complain about the botting you tell them to get good. Great achievement you managed to bot 24/7 for years and can kill casual players on a dead game. Nobody can compete with that. That's why pvp is dead it has fuck all to do with immunity pots.

well, there is .. or would be a larger pve group of players who would be ingame .. if immunity pots could be made easier to obtain.
It's easy to say do dailys and get them, but that's easier said than done if you don't have many hours playtime..
so..
while the botters and cheaters are reaping the rewards and 'enjoying' their pvp ..
that leaves 2 options..
1. let it continue as it is .. with moaning, unhappiness, disgruntlement and a dwindling usercount.. or
2. put immu pots in the stores to be bought.. possibly angel morale to buy them..whatever

pvp'ers can carry on their fun with rival guilds... and everyone else can just get on and try play the game..
who knows..when they got some decent gear to compete, they can join the pvp too

I know this is a great server If they can cheat, we can also imitate them until we die together Why can they profit from cheating while we cannot??

I work hard, I do 12 hour shifts in demanding job. When I eventualy find the time to come on for 30 minutes to an hour i find people like you.. fucking tits that find it funny to waste other peoples time and fun..

mabie you should get out there get a real job and see what it is like to be in the real world. If you want some instruction on how to do that i would be happy to meet up some day and give you a lesson or two

Just return to the old PvP mechanics of ESoma. They worked perfectly. If you wanted to PK, you could...but you got a penalty and future consequences through moral that ultimately lasted quite some time. You actually needed some genuine skill to PK and continue levelling up to compete which in turn meant that being a PKer as your role play had meaning other than just "Wah wah I'm bored" which is what we currently see. It kept things in check largely and most people were happy with it. Crucially moral needs to be returned to its original purpose. It, and the consequences of red moral, exists as a deterrent to PK'ing. It is not supposed to be gained at speed as when that happens it has no measurable effect in deterring PK'ing.

It is very clear from this forum over the years that the majority do not want this absurd free for all PK'ing. There is plenty of evidence for that. The game simply isn't designed for it. Soma is built around a precise method of levelling up by killing monsters in order on very small maps. There is nowhere else to go when PK'ers won't leave you alone. The maps are 2D with little to no dynamism so there's no hiding...and of course there's GV trace...that's a barrel of laughs in the hands of primary school kid PK'ers. Add to all this the difficulty in obtaining necessary upgrade items and you can see why the developers put in place the moral system as a deterrent to PK'ing. We're all a lot older from when we first started playing soma (well...some us of have grown up!) and so many like Celts only have limited time to play. So if you're driven off a map what are you to do in your few spare hours that week?

Quite why Isylver puts up with it and the annoyance of having to deal with player squabbles as a result of it, is beyond me. His job as GM would be a lot easier through a system that maintains balance by itself...e.g. the old PK'ing system from ESoma. It seems that he supports a system that the majority of players do not want.
