As Soma reached it's 10th birthday it's a good time to reflect on it's current status. With all the updates, quality improvements and time committed you can see it's progression, but you cant help look to it's future. Currently there is a lack of users, this is due to a number of things like keylogging, cheating that resulted in bans and loyalty to follow those evicted. Currently, due to Finito's online presence and better understanding of catching third party programs, there is a noticeable drop in the numbers of people playing.

I suggest and amnesty. This would mean to celebrate the milestone, everyone previously banned to be unbanned. Yes this is a big, controversial and more than likely rejected suggestion, but it would also bring the UC, the games footprint and playability up. This would be a "last chance" deal and any further acts against T&C would be permanent condemnation.

This might not help the server but it might also "revive" the community and help the game get to where it needs to be to continue for another 10 years. Time can heal all wounds and a feel redemption and forgiveness will bring users back to a game we all love. After all, as we've all grown older and a little more wiser should past digressions reflect who we are now.

the current game rates are quick enough for any banned players to make a new character in a short time so no to amnesty.

Characters that have been banned are banned for good reason, mostly for cheating.

Play by the rules and you can enjoy soma whenever you want to continue your journeys, cheat and you deserve to be banned.

I don't really see the harm in it. Yeh they could make a new character but why would you when you've spent all that time (rightly or wrongly) investing time into your character. Let's be honest some player got banned for silly reason or none at all (to my knowledge) like sven, #freesven!

And I kinda understand the madness behind the post. Now Fin has landed the hammers down recently it definitely has had a positive effect on the server. Certainly has put the naughty people in place and shown consequences to their actions.

Bugger it, what's the worse that could happen, they get banned again, for good this time.

Lmao let them start a new char or piss off. tbh. u can cap a char in a month now. Also there's enough chars walking around with gear from botting as it is .

My cheating friends finally got caught and we would actually quite like some of the gear back we cheated for so long to get, so I made this character to post on the forum explaining how banning cheats is a bad thing fpr the server.
