They worked so hard for ToV and to get it working well. It would be a shame to dismiss ToV altogether.
I genuinely believe the best thing to do for ToV now is to scale it based on how many people go. IE- 1 Person - Less mobs, chances of clearing waves much lower but val reward increases - IE 5/6 scrolls per wave 2 People - 2 x mobs, chances of clearing waves incrementally increased val reward slightly decreased - IE 4/5 Scrolls per wave with a bonus for every 5 waves of 2 scrolls 3 People - so on and so forth up to 5 people and only 1/2 scrolls per wave. I think do this, then make it 1 event per 24h of soma and make it dual race as it was during testing. Maybe throw in a drop that rolls to a winner every 5 rounds when more than 5 people attend. Double tab every 10 waves. ToV should be the tool that allows the end game to be farmed and progressed through and at the moment it's being ignored by the people who have already farmed it leaving a void for up and coming players.

i wouldnt say its dissmissing the event, idea would of worked at lvl 110 cap but now UC even smaller it isn't ideal to rely on that 1 event.
they wont increase scroll rate because of botters, so like i suggested above is probably best solution that cant be abused pretty much either dailys for 10 val apc or daily marks to buy champs arm/weps with end of the day if the server picks up u could do tov and still do dailys for marks/valour to buy weps or arm but either way tov does need scaling and kobold sorcers need removing dont know about you guys but im tired of having to get 1 epic wep 30 days of progress to die on +3 even with 250 skill like, so id rather have garanteed solution i can do everyday not having to rely on someone else and go out do dailys earn val or daily marks and buy weps and i can save and make progress instead of being hulted due to an empty event basically. without another incentive like i said above people will wana log off after the event unable to still work towards their end goal of certain champ or corrupt arm and weps ect and the uc will be lower during the day.

"HITCH" It gets ignored because players obviously don't enjoy it very much. Running it several times a day got very boring, very fast. It's a shame given the effort that went into it but forcing players to do it as the only realistic way of acquiring certain items is exactly why the server is so empty. Doubling down on that is only going to make the server even emptier, if that's even possible. Soma was always about killing mobs in the open world and getting drops. It should hardly be a surprise that the more fin and dan moved away from that, the quieter the server has become. There used to be a huge PvE community, nearly all of them have left now.

level cap increased to 150 ( with stat gains changed )
champ and val weps dropping from new top tier mobs.. valour scrolls can be traded in for new, more effective armours and maybe accessories now only available with all the boss souls, nega tears and other useful stuff etc... ( every player needs weapons .. else they can't play .. at least make them accessible for all unfortunately, since val weps were introduced, it's made all the others virtually worthless and useless except for new characters levelling ) everyone happy and problem sorted merry christmas x

For many years I and many others have said the same concept. But just face it, it wont happen. This game is in a doomed state. The moment it became a in house IP as myth-of-soma.com away from the greatness of Somadev.com is what spelt this doom and has suppressed only the dirt and grime of what is left of the stone.
I haven't played Soma in over 3 years. I just come back here to witness the absolute rot of what could of been otherwise the demise of itself and what it is today. The problem stems with how the seed was planted, and sadly Dan/ Isylver took the root in which was very obstructive in preserving a communal and developer friendly community (which already existed) and turning it against itself away from said platform and onto this website. Welcome to 2023 of such decisions and your welcomed with a 10 player usercount of purely just bots and constant abuse/ flaming/ threatening and absolute disgusting player behaviour. This game deserves to be buried and left alone for the sake of preservation in only our minds. The neglect and mis management is where it has led it. And the fact Fin can not openly advocate for this infuriates many just like me who check this domain from time to time. Sorry to say it guys, but its the end of Soma and its time for you all to move on. I advocated on multiple in house developer Discords including here that what this IP needs is a revisit to how Somadev was; an open communal devloper friendly community. Every MMORPG of this era that has adopted this behaviour has survived and has hundreds if not thousands of daily users (including Legend Of Mir). There is zero excuse or reason as to why this is not a fact. If you disapprove then you are simply the issue and not the reason.

A competently run Soma could and would still be popular. This version...well, the writing has been on the wall for a long time. Two people who don't play and appear to have very little game design understanding/ability have pushed it so far away from what made Soma a fun game to so many. It's almost funny the mess the game ended up in, even if you ignore the bots and the playerbase.
There's absolutely no reason we couldn't be still playing and leveling in some way, the game was effectively endlessly scalable. Small updates a couple of times a year, increasing the caps and adding maps here and there. It would be pretty niche but there'd still be a decent amount of people interested. Or, as various people suggested over the years - regular, planned resets with the game built around them. It'd be harder to make enjoyable imo but there's plenty in the community who would have been happy to make it. Yet here we are - laughably unbalanced valour items, an almost endless upgrade/fail+reset treadmill of tedious to acquire items, a hilarious focus on objectiveless pvp where the majority were all so bad they couldn't help but cheat. Even the current item/upgrade/drops mess could have been fixed with minimal effort, instead diamond drop rates got upped a little bit - missing the point in spectacular style. It's hard not to agree that it's time to pull the plug, not on Soma altogether but to let it pass to others.

(TOV) event and the general scarcity of human participation. The overall User Contribution (UC) on Hsoma is notably low, making it challenging for players to engage in working towards good equipment
We need to address this issue by implementing some form of scaling or alternative methods for acquiring valour and weapons. Depending solely on others to obtain items nowadays just isn't the way.
for example x7 valour spears on 250 skill character , and only two of them successfully reached +5 then they all broke 1 by 1 , despite months of collecting scrolls. my problem isn't with the anvils breaking items isn't the concern its the time it takes to collect it all and try again it took me 3-4 months.
We should consider revising the TOV scaling system to make TOV less annoying, . In today's ingame the focus is predominantly on champion and corrupted armor, as well as valour weapons. It seems reasonable that players should be able to make progress towards their desired equipment between TOV events.
The limited time most players have to dedicate to the game should count for something in terms of endgame equipment progress. It's disheartening to witness empty TOV events, hindering any improvements to items
One potential solution could be introducing valour weapons with a low drop rate from mobs vafers ect This would incentivize players to actively participate in endgame content, encouraging them to stay logged in and engaged, rather than logging in sporadically due to the unavailability and not able to work towards desirable equipment between TOV events. Ultimately, these changes could contribute to a more vibrant and enduring community, preventing disillusionment and player attrition due to the perceived emptiness of events and the feeling of giving up
thanks
"CAUSTIC"+1 the scaling needs to work so that it's at least possible to get to round 10 even if you are a single participant. I'm not saying be able to clear kark but at least get up to so you can get 25 scrolls or so every 4 hours even if no one else is there. Not sure about val weaps dropping unless it only drops hard/rare with very low odds. Last thing the game needs is lego/mythical versions of val unless we get a new armour set What was said by me before the scaling agree Got to lvl 8 solo a few times but kind kind bosses Usually lvl 4 or 5 unkillable solo boss

Proc one bangs warriors, they got mages with 5th axe as proc is so pwoerful it dont matter if your using nega staff or orb. Get good and make +8 proc gear same as warrior has to make op gear. The game is more balanced than ever, its just that mages are required to farm as hard as warriors now at this tier! Other than that the game is perfectly balanced

I do most Tovs weekend usually but only 2 Tues-Fri on work days.
A lot of these I do solo. Look at the last wave I got to solo wave 7 as bosses were kind (almost solo). Today very good players like Karos/Edelweiss and Fluffed + other Mutiny member quit as like 3 of us there. I have cleared 8 levels solo, depends on bosses etc. 3 players can take Valk Queen and Garshuk down, I can't solo those bosses but 3 people can. If the quitting carries on then you are missing out on Val scrolls. 3 people should get 23 scrolls minimum maybe more. Took Krakinos down solo once with my experience and I can teach this to others of how you do this. I have also done it with only 2 of us a few times. I just don't get this quitting when in Tov and you see only 3 people. Ah no point etc. Well if you only get to Krakinos those scrolls build up. Stop quitting and I can help with strategy, just look at the last Devil Tov which I did pretty much solo as 2 very good Mutiny members thought no point, just had Spots for that 1st wave. Spots died early as he got ul zombie so died pretty quickly. Go Tov those scrolls build up even if only 2/3/4 in there. I'm building mine up again. On a final note, please can we scale up the bosses Finito? Only the very nasty ones that 1 player can not take spawn only after Krakinos at least? Both worlds would kinda agree on that. Please scale the bosses on the wonderful Tov. Also agree that DSoma bosses should not be on Human Tov. A cross world Tov would be fun. Looking at the feed I'd like THESAINT at my side lol.
