I'm level 99 hunting WBM's and i know you can basically hunt +/-50 str and get xp but does anyone have advice on what to hunt on route to cap? drops from wbm and KL are a bit boring

No way around the boring phase of mid lvl, most efficient way is reducing time running and reducing dura reduction.
That means KL=WBM(Conti)>WBM(Hwan) if solo. If you prefer wbm and don't have conti, it's better to sit in middle of hwan wbm and use another char run around and pull the packs to the middle while killing the previous group.

Then go hogs till 229str iirc, stop adding points into str for a few levels and stay there, keep adding dex etc. It isn't efficient to lvl at tarks and apai as you don't have the wis to tank multiple magic atks well and it just means more trips back for pots and the 100% hit rate of magic means more dura dmg and repair trips than dodge tanking hogs.

When you have the dex for deities, add the points you banked (the ones that you kept from adding str) back into str and move straight to devil deities. Stay there till cap. Its not efficient to level at hellion heretics as its better to lvl fast and get stat req for val bow, then enjoy end game.

Go to as many ToVs as possible with a realistic chance of wave 20 for scrolls. Don't struggle in 2 and 3 man groups to grind out waves as that's wasted time that could be hunting, join the 6+ char runs that are easy mode to wave 20.
