I'm hoping that this post can help in the future with some clarity for all players. I recently attempted trading an item via the forums, only to soon thereafter be warned about the potential of being banned by FINITO for conducting (what for me would be) a legitmate trade; my item in exchange for consumable items all within Soma. I do not wish to receive any ill-gotten items and I've been told that by simply trading, honestly, within the game, that the threat of a ban is somehow very possible? Is this really the case? Are players being banned for such a thing, FINITO? If so: - How does anyone trade within the game safely? - How can players identifiy the legitimacy of consumable items being offered in a trade? - What makes consumable items (e.g Diamond Small, Mystical Fragment, Negamare Tear etc) illegitimate? - What prevents [PLAYER A] from selling exploited or ill-gotten items to unbeknownst [PLAYER B] and then reporting [PLAYER B] for completing the trade? ---------------------------------------------------------- Update from FINITO , 2024/06/16 16:36:03: "FINITO""Z"

Nope. If anything related to ill-gotten items then it will just be a temp ban while checking item logs to stop the items being moved.

I'd say it's ridiculous that this even has to be questioned. There's no world where someone should end up being banned for trading.
But then I have a quick look around at the game - the illiterate clown who keeps getting unbanned, who posted openly racist stuff on the forum the other day, still happily running around on the server; The random bans with no information, even to the banned players, the obivous bots running around and being ignored - and I think...yeah, being banned for trading makes perfect sense.

Thank you kindly for the official response.
I figured this could not be the case, though I wanted to be certain and hopefully this can serve as clarification to all players. |
