Once you see the yellow shout you have 5 minutes to /tovjoin. Never used the scrolls tbh.
I agree about the scaling, I've asked about that quite a few times, as I go a lot alone. Just finished a ToV alone again and the 2nd or 3rd wave I had 24 white mobs the Negamare minnion things lmao. Still made it to wave 7 though as the bosses were not that bad for once.
