I wish to address a pressing concern regarding the ongoing issues with players who consistently disregard the game's regulations. The prevalence of botting, the employment of exploitative characters, and the manipulation of others for selfish gain have become increasingly troubling. I find myself wondering: where are the game masters in all of this? Is there anyone who genuinely cares about the integrity of the game?

As devoted players of Soma, we seek clarity and answers regarding the current state and future of our beloved game. We have invested considerable time and passion into this experience, and our affection for it runs deep. Furthermore, what has become of Isylver? Has he departed for good? At present, it seems there is a lack of oversight and engagement with the community.

I must also address the botters directly: please reconsider your actions. By utilizing such programs, you jeopardize the very game you claim to cherish. Soma is not merely about accumulating resources like dias or bars; it represents a sanctuary for enjoyment and relaxation, a reprieve from the outside world.

Thank you for your attention to these matters. We hope for a brighter future for Soma and its dedicated community.

look at the success of the halloween event

that tells you all you need to know of the gm presence and involvement with the game

or.. you could check out the recent updates and forum posts by the gm's

the cheats here have ruined the game..and nothing more the gm's can add or do that won't be exploited

So I returned to the game recently and I decide to check the discord...bad mistake. A collection of very negative, toxic characters who seemingly have nothing else to do but lurk and troll. They no doubt have been playing the game a long time and consider themselves OGs but why lurk in the discord talking absolute nonsense, any new player would run a mile seeing that. If these are the people Finito has to deal with then no wonder both him and Isylver dont want to put any more effort in.

A polite reminder to Finito and Isylver, Lots of decent people still play and appreciate whatever time you can give to the game.

Agree with OP, bots are a problem but other than forming a guild that exists to kill them on site, solutions are scarce.

I still love coming back to the game when I can, hopefully one day we can clean it up a little.

I totally get what you’re saying! It’s frustrating to see toxic behavior in the Discord community. It can feel like a bunch of self-proclaimed “OGs” are just there to bring others down instead of supporting the game and each other. Lurking and trolling doesn’t help anyone; it just creates a negative environment. We should be sharing tips, celebrating achievements, and building a positive space for everyone, especially for newcomers. It’s a shame that some players forget that gaming is supposed to be fun and inclusive!

Once I learned that people were taking photos of their screen to 'expose' something within the game, and I mean photos -- as in with a camera, not a screenshot, that's when I knew I had to leave the Discord. It's that bad.
It's not a representative place for the game, so there's really no need to join it as it doesn't serve as a resource of any kind for the game with no communication from GM's at present.

The honourable thing to do with the sever would be to just give the reins over to someone trustworthy who can at the very least reboot the server on occasion and turn on things like Halloween event etc (which is just a few moments and a reboot).

I'm happy to support monetarily, annual server costs, whatever.
Finito just has to speak to us, because he is most certainly reading it all.

He had to take a picture with his phone because if he took a screenshot that would have shown the bot he was using.
