TROPICANABAN |
In the world of Myth of Soma, the lands were alive with warriors, magicians, and adventurers vying for strength and glory. Yet, lurking in the shadows were those who sought shortcuts — even at the risk of angering the gods... or worse, the GMs.
Among them were two infamous players: Jin920 and Tropicana. Known for their flashy gear and suspiciously perfect grinding patterns, they had found a lucrative spot deep in the wilds — the Hellion fields. There, the Hellion monsters roamed, dropping treasures that could make anyone rich overnight. But farming them legitimately was slow, tedious work... unless you had a little help from forbidden scripts. So, Jin920 and Tropicana set up their bot programs, letting their characters slaughter Hellions 24/7. They thought they were clever — setting random movement patterns, simulated chat messages, even pretending to "go AFK" now and then. Players whispered about them, but they never stayed in one place long enough to get caught. Their arrogance grew. Meanwhile, elsewhere on Soma, andylorry was carving his own path. His target: the elusive Vafer, a monster coveted for its rare drops. But andylorry wasn't hunting Vafer the hard way. No, he too had succumbed to the lure of automation, using a sleek botting program that tracked and attacked Vafers the moment they spawned. Unbeknownst to all of them, the Game Master known as Finito had been quietly watching. Finito wasn’t just any GM — he had a reputation: swift, merciless, and armed with tools that could track movement patterns, attack speeds, and even detect non-human behavior. One fateful night, Finito initiated Operation Purge. He warped invisibly to the Hellion fields, where he observed Jin920 and Tropicana. Perfect attack timings, perfect rotations, never missing a spawn... and no human error. Suspicious. Finito cast an invisible "confusion spell" — a trick he used to test bots. The spell caused normal players to behave erratically for a few seconds. Jin920 and Tropicana didn’t even flinch. Their characters kept grinding, oblivious. Evidence gathered. Next, Finito visited the Vafer fields, where andylorry was "hunting." Same story. When Finito dropped fake Vafer monsters that exploded when attacked, real players would run — but andylorry's bot mindlessly attacked, setting off explosion after explosion without hesitation. More evidence gathered. Without warning, Finito unleashed his final judgment. A system message blared across the server: > "[SERVER NOTICE]: Players Jin920, Tropicana, and andylorry have been permanently banned for botting. Let it be a lesson to all: the Gods of Soma are always watching." In an instant, their characters were gone — inventories wiped, accounts frozen, and their names forever blackened on the Hall of Shame. Players cheered, some laughing in public chats, others warning their guildmates: > "Finito doesn't miss." And thus, the legend of the Banhammer grew, and the world of Myth of Soma was a little more honest... at least, until the next botter got greedy.
