Players griefing themselves

1
Author Content Date
Hi,

I noticed a small number of players intentionally griefing themselves.

This reminded me of something that happened on E-Soma involving a player called IMO. As I remember it, the idea was to intentionally die because HP gains were previously based on the amount of Strength gained within a single level, making it more efficient to restart under certain circumstances.

I may be remembering this incorrectly or it may already have been addressed, but I just wanted to check whether this issue has already been resolved or considered before these changes are rolled out.

Thanks.

I can only assume you mean me, i went devil moral to get the black aoe spell by killing Isolate.

I know i could of killed guild stones however the run would have been horrendous to conti castle without being able to use warps.

This only worked in esoma because you would get a hp boost when you levelled. As con/hp is worked out as you go on this there would be no benefit.

That’s my understanding as well, but many of us have lost confidence in the fairness and balance of the decision-making process due to the communication methods being used and the perception that they can influence outcomes.

Unbanning a select few players rather than applying the same approach to everyone still feels selective in nature. Before the Korean unbans are used as an example of why we should trust the process, it’s important to recognise how it appears from the outside.

The impression many of us get is that certain players are being unbanned because there is a belief that doing so will encourage PvP activity and trigger a wider return of former players. If that is the strategy, I think it’s based on a misunderstanding of why many people left in the first place.

In my view, you’re not even close to addressing the underlying issues. Selective unbans don’t rebuild trust; consistent and fair treatment for everyone does.
