The amount of STR you have influences the % you need when you train dex .. does it also go the other way
=> does your DEX influences the amount of % you need for STR gains? |

All your melee gains are relative to your STR and the STR of the mob you are hunting. Stat slowdowns are at -50, -30, -10 and +10 of a mob's STR.
So if you're hunting BLG (140? STR) and you have 110+ str and only 70 or so DEX you'll gain dex slowly as you're already passed the 2nd slow down. On the other hand if you're on 100 STR and 100 DEX, you ll gain dex faster because you haven't reached the next slowdown yet. It doesn't matter what your DEX is; all melee gains are based on STR.

I should also say the new DSoma mobs (Demented Warhogs and Crimson Apai) have different stat slowdowns to every other mob, but most of what I know about them is theory at the moment (I don't really feel like wasting 40+ hours on a level to find out I get sub-par gains).

Seems bit unfair thow... people are forced to train dex first and then str. Not evryone wanna train with healer chars or get tanked by other higher levels. People who really like sword / spear / axe end up with less dex in the end compared to bow / knuck chars who end up with about same str but do dex first.
Ah well ... thats soma i suppose :)
