I can't get soma running properly on my new laptop wich has windows 8. I have Windows 8.1 Enterprise - 64 bit.
Full window doesnt work for me.. can't even get login screen. Already changed resolution and went to 16 bit .. doesnt help. With window mode i can login but when i start playing after like 10 secondes i get a message "myth of soma has stopped working". Had it like 20 times in row now. Internet connection aint the problem cause soma works well on my old laptop wich had a previous version of windows. Been searching on forum quite a bit now but haven't found anything useful so far ... Anyone any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it? Thx

Windows 8 is shit for soma mate, I have loads of bugs with windows 8. Don't know why it doesn't like it. I'm currently looking for a windows 7 laptop as soma is only thing I use laptop for. Can't remember if I had that problem or not.

I'm using Win 8.1 and have no problems at all using on my PC monitors or my TV
Installed all visual C++ runtimes x64 and x86 (helps if you use macros etc) And have the latest video drivers and direct x etc, don't have to run in any compat mode at all and I do have to use run as admin only when using a macro for example. Hope this helps I've been Brad Cole Edit: Also disabled UAC
