Is the issue fixed yet with "Network Error: Protocol *** is unknown"?
I still get this message and the workaround doesnt work for me when im at work :( I can launch the "C:\Myth of Soma\SomaWindow.exe" 108.62.20.58 but graphics are totally messed up and cant run / move mouse decent.

I'm getting this error again. I actually have been for a few days, though this is the first chance I've had to report it. I can still log in using the IP, so not a hugely big deal. But it looks like because of this I don't have the Halloween event graphics. The pouches are invisible for me.

Did you try disabling your firewall and/or reinstalling?

Firewall has no impact.
I suppose I haven't tried reinstalling, but consider: 1. That this exact error message happened before and was fixed at your end. 2. I can still get in the game using the IP posted above. 3. My firewall and computer in general hasn't changed in any way during the last week, and it was working fine previously. It seems doubtful that this will be a fix, unless there's something I'm not understanding. I'll try reinstalling tonight when I have more time.
