"SHOWA"Why cry because you chose the wrong weapon for you? No one forced you to use axe. If we start using the 'why cry' method I could ask you why you posted. Also nothing would ever get changed then, and even I cry to the GM's sometimes. xD

"SHOWA"Wasnt there a test server to iron out issues such as this? No, that was to prepare the database and client, not the content. Besides with stats going over 400 there it wouldn't have said much. |

I've been thinking about this for a while,
4th axe should be speed B for 2 handers and speed A+ for 1 handers |

"KEY"I've been thinking about this for a while, Why? If so, you'd have to increase 2h damage substantially... |

Having a speed a+ 2 handed axe is op, and lets be honest the only reason 2 handed axes tend to get used is for pvp, as most ppl ( I'm talking more hsoma btw, I don't know much bout dsoma) as ppl tend to use a shield for the extra defence, having a big att 2 handed axe in pvp hitting A+ is to much

"SLAYER"It does seem a tad harsh. But PD is imo the most op aura in game now...im sure youll say youd prefer a speed AoO but a high lvl axe user in good gear will be unkillable... Mages kill everything mate lol, unless you weren't including them.

How about keeping the speed increase to B but include a damage modifier on the aura to make up for the nerf.
If with the Speed A+ aura you did X amount of damage over X amount of time. Instead, you have Speed B but + X% dmg increase, therefore having a better +attack speed on the usual speed D axes but the + damage would counter the slight loss in speed from A+. Numbers are very basic, but food for thought; Take an axe with 10 min and max dmg. Say, speed A+ hits once every second dealing 100 dmg over 10 seconds New Aura axe with the same axe Speed B hits once every two seconds only dealing 50 dmg over 10 seconds, if there was a 50% dmg modifier it would look something like 10+(10*0.5) =15 dmg hitting 5 times in 10 seconds with an output of 75 damage.

On dsoma 2handed axes are e or f speed. And an axer on dsoma will never have the dex of what a human axer can have. Due to the way we are specialists in a weapon.

Another alternative is making 4th a speed bonus rather than a fixed speed. However, duplicating the aura and making it the original speed is the least work and the easiest fix.
Let's see which one of the options get picked. |

posted into the other thread about 4th axe
"ISYLVER"The speed was actually a+. We can consider switching it back for dsoma but I suggest you live with it for a while.

If we did switch it back it would have to be a completely new aura added as at the moment it is shared.[/quote]

4th axe does need a buff, IMO.
But at the same time I think 2nd axe needs a nerf. But hey, that's just my opinion. |

"JARAGOONDOO"4th axe does need a buff, IMO. End-game I don't think 2nd axe is going to be that big of a deal. Level 100 dev will far outstretch his/her defence. As the bonus from 2nd axe is to Con and not to total defence, at 100con it's 15def and at 150con it'll be a whopping 22 def. Even now at level 70, some people have near 300 attack, while their def is still in the 200's. Due to the dex an axer has, he/she'll very rarely evade hits, as such, although he'll be hit for less than his counterparts, will be hit with a lot more frequency. I like 2nd's incarnation, if an axer wants to tunnel up at the expense of damage, he can. If he wants damage output, he uses 4th with a 2h.
