Hi all,

Returning to soma after almost 4 years away if anyone out there could be so kind as to help me out with any weps, armor or a bit of barr (or anything else at all really) it would be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone has any tips on how to make the best possible character on this server that would also be great, I hear there is a level cap which you can't gain stats after, I wonder have people tried griefing their own stats at lower levels to get an edge etc?

Ohh you got much to learn, grieving characters is no longer possible, if you die from pvp or mob a revive without a resi you will get 2.5% pen up to -10%. You won't gain any stats other then skill until you clear the penalty.
Up to level 50 you will have free rested (double exp). After 50 you get rested when in town or logged off in town.
This server is the most developed with lots of changes and new stuff todo. Search for yoshimitsu help file this is a guide for humans and a big must if you've been away for a bit,

If you're going to dsoma I'm happy to give you a starter pack to get you going.

Best possible builts would be either high int + high str and about 100-105 dex. Do int first to supply you with large wealth in drops to make Eva or trade for good weaps. Another good build is high int (166ish) and as much dex as you can get . High dex , high str will make you the best 1v1 but that's no good outside a duel as you will get 2hit buy the mages in a 2+v1 situation.
Don't worry about Con until there's an event with low xp high hp mobs. Con has been changed so you can gain it when're up to lvl99 and still have the same as if you gained it lvl 1.
Knux/axe or Knux/Bow would be the best weapon combos for either of these 2 builds . Axe/Bow is still viable but you will find it slower and a lot more expensive to get good weaps than a Knux/axe combo

Quite a popular rout is to do dex first until 40-45 then int until 69 so you can take wraith naked . Then dex again until. 65. Know you could just continue int until 100+ instead of dex but I found doing 65 dex before progressing to prisms will help in terms of HP . Once you've got 100ish int you shoukd have enough frogs for evasion so you can continue dex on

Palus then Devil fish to gain diamonds to get a lvl 4 spell . Then back to int until cAp or what ever your aiming for . Now you can make decent Eva to progress to harder monsters like shanis and ultimately BLG for your end game str mob also the best source of rubies and Egg piles for accuracy and faster weapons

Do dex/str till level 30 so you can go vod then give me a message and I'll help boost your int should be able to get you from 12-40+ in just a few hours

if your hsoma just go int/bow or int/axe seeing as most of hsoma are mainly int and axe or bow :P
