Possible solution to Knuckles current dilemma.

5th Knuckle should be more useful than what it is. Maybe improve the power of it :). Because I already know in pvp, all knucklers will be pushed to use Dodge and 4th to deal damage. 5th will just sit there for PVE.

Maybe Increase The Attack of all Knuckles? It is a really underused Weapon due to the slow gains. etc. And also due to the fact that we get slower dex. So maybe increasing 2nd aura to lets say 10% would be nice.

Futhermore

Lets not get into Bow. The main topic here is Knuckle. I think it was wrong of ghost to bring up "bow" as a suggestion to fix "knuckle". Why should bowers get even more OP?.

My Opinion.

I think that Knucklers do have a disadvantage in pvp and pve;

1. We lack in attack.
2. Survivability
3. Our auras apart from 4th are pretty much useless. (increasing the % of dodge for 2nd aura would fix a bit of the problems)

If I remember correctly, does shield not reduce your evasion massively? So we would have a dodge aura with a shield? Would actually go backwards imo.

I think some testing should be done behind the scenes. I.e we should be able to hunt as effective as pure sword. Therefore make a pure sword and pure nux characters on the test server and compare them at various stages of lvling (eg dw's). You can them also compare stats at lvl 50, 70, 90 and 100 as it should be quite balanced. Sword got a buff in gains.
Can a gm maybe confirm gains on nux? And a ss like you did with sword on the somadev forums
Of their stats at cap?

I very much doubt a shield affects anything else than defence.

I think I may be getting it confused with a similar game! So ignore me ;p

Ghost, do you know if this feedback is being monitored by gm's? Do you know their stance on the matter. It would be nice to have an acknowledgement as to whether they feel the class is fine or they accept a buff is needed.

It's worrying I am continuing with nux on the hope it is sorted. I'm at a point now where I'm not sure which route to take. Stick it out or not waste any further time and start with Bow.

I would be for increasing the evasion % on knuckle dodge aura to 10% up from 8%.

That change would be much appreciated.

But I think a 2% increase would not have a noticeable effect. Maybe if it were upped to 12%, instead.

Finito. Many thanks for your post. It would be an appreciated change. I will ofc give it a chance but I must admit I was hoping for more. Around 12% as a minimum. However I am grateful that you are willing to tweak and gives me comfort that I can stay with nux with the hope it may be tweaked further if it does not fully catch up with other weaps.

I believe most if not all feedback is seen by iSylver, who makes the final say in content developments. Any feedback, good or bad, agreed or not, is appreciated as long as they are put together in an acceptable way. Much like most of the posts I'm seeing recently.

Any mention on reducing the recoil more for knuckles per tag, as it stands the stronger the weapon, the more of a benefit the tag gives it, but recoil doesn't seem to be noticeable from untagged 800recoil to an intense weapon. It doesn't even get to A+

We could possibly add a little more damage to 4th knuckle also.

So both ISYLVER and FINITO are into going from 8 to 10% on dodge aura.

Im sure this will make pure knux people happy, but what will the impact be on mixed classes ?, forexample Knux / Axe users. Major strength increase, and now also extra 2% dodge ?

Lurifax. I don't see the point you are trying to make. Majority of axers are bow as their second weap, this change is not dramatic enough for them to want to change.

What if we changed bow 2nd into accuracy and keep knuckle as dodge


I hope this is some kind of bad joke, bow is already the most overpowered weapon by a long way, probably 80% of humans are using bow (well forced into using bow simply because it is so good)

Give it any accuracy and everyone and his mums dog will be running around with bow if they arent already.


I would like to see knuckles with a bit more attack tho, knuckle already has low attack and with the taggging system in place the gained attack is much lower for knuckles than other weapon (I do think that bow has slightly too much attack already)

These are just rough estimates of values by multiplying by 1.2 and 1.3 for each tag, but as you can see knuckle really suffers due to the tagging system, the gap will only be bigger with intense weapons, but not going to add those since nobody will really have much access to them.

I am proposing a +10-20% base attack bonus to all knuckles, (It doesnt have to be equal with bow, i mean obvoiusly it is faster, but something to level out the playing field a bit more wouldnt go down too badly.
