Hello just wanna ask one thing, is there any randomness in gear stats? Like for example when a gear piece drops does it sometimes have 5 def, sometimes 7 def? Or are bonus stats/enchantments on items random? In short is the game diablo like?


Another way to rephrase the question, when i get a high level, will i be grinding for drops trying to get the best possible drop for months on end or will i just hit cap, do 5 dungeons and get best gear and then quit until next expansion like many other mmos?

Weapons and Armours are sometimes preceded by a word in brackets such as;

Apus Bow
[Hardened] Apus Bow
[Rare] Apus Bow
[Epic] Apus Bow
[Intense] Apus Bow
[Legendary] Apus Bow

This is the case for drops and crafted items.

The untagged armours/weapons always have the same stats while the tagged weapons vary in their stats.

Additionally, Weapons and Armours can be upgraded if you have the right materials.

Only boss drops have chance at legendary.

And legendary can have 40% more on them (max) to my knowledge

Wait do you mean legendaries are 40% stronger than the intense tag or the no tag item?

Legendary tagged items only drop from bosses.
Having said that, they are so rare that only 2 have dropped in 2 years.

Each tag has a % increase in stats on the respective item.

[Hardened] 0%-10%
[Rare] 10%-20%
[Epic] 20%-30%
[Intense] 30%-40%
[Legendary] 40%-50%

The upgrade system on this game is also a bit intense. If you attempt to upgrade something and it fails you lose the item AND the upgrade you used to get it, When some items are that rare there are only a handful of them dropped since the server came out you need to weigh up the pros and cons.
