Soma is such a huge part of our lives and we almost literally live in the Soma world when we play this game. But even though it is just a game and even though there are such vicious rivalries here we are a very tight-nit community, something we don't often find in modern games.
I spend a lot of time in Paris and I have friends who live right in the city centre where the attacks took place and I can't contact them, they are not replying or active online or on their phones. Having a community of what feels like families in Soma where one can immerse themselves in the Soma world helps us deal with the grim reality of real life. The thread by Isylver and bitching on the forum recently does not reflect what a great game and community Soma is. We should remember this when we go a little too far with moaning. There are far too many horrible atrocities happening in the real world and Soma is a positive aspect of our lives we can enjoy to take our mind off of it. Play and enjoy Soma for what it is, don't be destructive, sometimes we need Soma to get away from real life. RIP those killed in Paris yesterday.

There are numbers you can ring if you're looking for people.
Does seem everytime I put on the news there is another terrorist attack, probably why I don't watch the news anymore. Didn't even know about this until just now. The band at the concert was Eagles of Death Metal, I just watched them at the UEA the other week, couldn't imagine a gunman there. Crazy shit.

Don't care what people think or say to me... if you didn't let them in they wouldn't be able to do it.
It will no doubt come to britain soon and many other places over europe people been saying for years now they'll start taking countries from the inside, such a tragedy for those innocent people unfortunately being kind and helpful brings more trouble than being evil in this world.

Last time I went to Paris I sat on the Champs-Élysées having a coffee and watched a homeless bloke with a disposable camera taking pictures of women as they walked by.

This is on our door step.
I was in France just couple of weeks back with Harrison :/ it's terrifying - and all I can keep thinking is how quickly I would die for him. When I watch the coverage this sounds really daft but there are no jack bauers or Bourne or Ethan hunt - Just scared officers who are ill equipped and underprepared because there is no preparation for the unknown. Rehearsing for terrorist attacks which all these agency's do is like a fire alarm test - people go through the wrong exits, get lost, don't know where the extinguisher is but it doesn't matter - cause it's a test. If you were sitting in an arena or theatre watching a show and it was stormed like this how long would a response take? Do you think the theatre staff or maybe the two security guys will handle it? If this doesn't scare people in some way then you're oblivious to what's happening in the world. We talk about the nationality of the victims - no one has mentioned the nationality of the brainwashed hypnotized dickheads who carried out these attacks - one could be British, one could be French, one could be American - You can't just bomb Iraq or wherever in the hope you might hit some - they are here already, they are there already, they are everywhere... Im truly worried they've been underestimated from the beginning... These attacks weren't random or rushed - they were planned well in advance and executed... I would like to think one of them could of been foiled by intelligence - all they managed to do was stop one guy getting into the football stadium. If we had 7 simultaneous attacks in London or Glasgow or wherever would we have any confidence in our safety? I'm worried already... Because if we are all as welcoming as we have been taught to be, as caring as we have been shown to be then our enemy is our friend and we don't even know it. People talking and blaming refugees, Muslims etc... Do you really want to condemn all those people to die because potentially a few may be evil? Get a grip. Evil grows in all creeds and all colors.

"SOHARD4YOU"Don't care what people think or say to me... if you didn't let them in they wouldn't be able to do it. Thoughts go out to the victims in Paris totally uncalled for and bang out of order... people that do this should leave it in thier own countries not take it elsewhere where thousands of people are enjoying a evening. Shocking to read the statement above clearly shows the mind of certain stupid idiots here... - do you understand how easy it is to drive through countries in Europe?, it really isn't a case of letting people in. - as for the not let them in Britain etc... can you say you have a better lifestyle then many of the non British communities that already live here.. I don't think so tbh with you statement there your intelligence seems someone what of a CHAV... council house and violence.. - before is happens here... where have you been all your life?.. have you forgotten the 7/7 attacks which has shaken us?... some people still has due to personal circumstances. I've lost a very very close uni mate in this and was travelling to France first week of December as a group to see this individual... so if your gonna say shit like that leave it out... or keep it in the circle of idiots that you can talk to there..
