Fix Wbm for new players (and sort hog spawn)

i cant remember 100% but didnt Conti ABs drop like 3k each to prepare you for KL/WBM

"DEIMOS"I don't hunt wbm because of poor int but if it's having to grind out % that puts newer players off surely slowing that down would be a bit counter productive for improving user count?


If they do not even get there or cannot even hunt them then they was not getting the boosted XP gain anyway.

Unsure but the main issue with that approach is that it is conti based (which makes sense considering how Dsoma seems far more active when we own conti) and speaking from experience, I kind of missed out on eb's because I needed them in the three week gap that we didn't win conti so hunted gf's (seriously boring with the loooong run) and a punch level when we did have conti which cost more than I earned ha ;D maybe I just like doing things the hard way ha, which is why I chose to use a healer

Yes I suppose that's true fin, did seem strange seeing much higher levels managing to level at same rate/faster than me while they were there ( even though it is/was a perk or target to get there as I'm nearing that point lol)

Deimos, while we don't have conti, why don't you hunt Gargoyle Fighters?

It's a run, like any other. Take some Gbirds to make it easier.

Use +20s to maximise the hunting time and make sure your inventory is pretty clean before you head out, you'll make so much profit there.

I actually thought originally the idea of conti was better drops - items + barr.
I've had better drops at IC KL than I've ever had in Conti - all be it few and far between.

You're right I would but I've had it drummed into me like so many others about stat gains and bonuses that I now don't think it would be a good idea (under the 30 str dif) but j did hunt gf's for a fair while, soon chewed through the money I made there, but I don't mind using healer anyway at the minute so it's no great drama

yeah I don't know fin, that kinda XP reduction would make it particularly unfair to punch chars. As it is an archer has to punch from 80 onwards to be competitive in endgame pvp, changing wbm that substantially puts future punch chars at a more than severe disadvantage. Unfortunately wbm have had that XP it would be unfair to take that XP away in that quantity unless another compromise was in place.

Then again it may end punch chars reign as well which I find ridiculous as a game function anyway.

The main and key problem in dsoma is lack of drops though lol lets look at that with some real intent?

Wouldn't changing wbm exp now just leave those that have punched a unfair advantage ? Punching is slow as is, reducing there exp by 50% is just going to stop ppl from punching to lvl cap in the future

I think what finito meant earlier that if we do change WBM XP we would like to change the rate at which they are killed too - pulling both the plus and minus together making it the same in the end, or as close as possible.

WBM were made to be a top end mob. They aren't anymore. In my eyes they can be changes in whichever way we see fit.

As a new Devil player who hopes to be hunting wbm soon I would say I hope they don't lose exp.

Wbm got a huge boost 60% about 3months ago, I'd like to point out wbm are over too fast compared to kl. the int damage is crazy, I stayed at kl till 160 cause of this. Punch for weeks or duel screen heal or 1v1 isint fun.

My views on this is wbm % could do with lowering but is it too late and a unfair advantage on newer comers,
Why not reduce the hp on kl? To bring inline with wbm?

Keep magic on wbm as it is, and have this mob a bonus reward mob if you punch... As jr said these are the only mobs that can't be botted at and the effort to hunt should he slightly more rewarding.

I noticed a lot of people in breakout drop away once they hit kl/wbm and it's sad to see, only so much we can do ingame to make it a smoother ride.
