Launcher not updating or runs and downloads to 100% and closes and then nothing happens.
This is most likely happening because SomaDevLauncherUpdate.exe is missing, is being blocked by AntiVirus software, or does not have the correct file permissions. Things to try: 1) First check if SomaDevLauncherUpdate.exe is missing, if it is then will need to re-install the client and add an exception for the file to your AntiVirus Software*. 2) Add an exception to AntiVirus software* and run the launcher again. 2) Be sure to make a backup of the SomaDevLauncher.exe first just incase the download of the update is incomplete. Launcher update is downloaded into the launcher folder to a file named SomaDevLauncher.bin. The file can be renamed to SomaDevLauncher.exe and then used to replace the existing SomaDevLauncher.exe in the client folder. 3) If the client is installed to a folder that does not have permission e.g. Program Files then try running the launcher as administrator. 4) As a last resort the launcher update can be bypassed by incrementing the value within launcher.ver file. This is not recommended *The AntiVirus exception might also be needed for SomaDevLauncher.exe Adding Exceptions for some AntiVirus Software AVG Avast! Norton
