Not a complaint, just a question .... ?
Is it allowed to have a macro running your pots to prevent death? Specifically, at WoW, there was a least one Devil that was using a macro to pot. Easy to spot when you are an archer because the hit registers (and the pot macro activates) the moment you fire your bow and long before the arrow hits. If it's allowed fair enough ..... 8) Jac

I don't understand what your saying ;o
You were shooting someone and they were potting? |

They potted before the human eye could discern they had been hit (as I explained above).
I am pretty sure you know what I mean ..... Anyway, just wondering if it is ok or not? 8) Jac |

You're suggesting people pot based on the graphic animation of being hit rather than looking at their HP bar going down...

Ok, specifically;
At WoW, I was behind a pillar in the throne room and I was able to do two things; 1) I could 4th bow a passing Devil 2) I could hit (shoot with an arrow) a Devil that was otherwise engaged in melee and could not see me When you 4th bow (dunno if it is the same in Devil world) you hear the "sound" and there is a delay before the arrowshot leaves the bow. What I saw was that the Devil (I have no clue about the name and I am not trying to get anyone in trouble) flashed a pot (went red) at the moment I hit the 4th and before even the sound was emitted, never mind the graphic image of the health going down. I was able to hit a Devil (quite possibly the same one) with a bow from a distance from the same spot. When you shoot anything (a mob for instance) at a distance, you see the hit register on the health bar of the mob as the arrow leaves the bow (not as the arrow impacts the mob). With the Devil, I saw him flashing red against my shots as I clicked (and only when I clicked). There was no delay in reacting to being hit, not even the tiniest parsec nor a quantum filament save that iota of an amount of time needed for a small bolt of electricity to jump from one nano-cluster within an isolinear chip to another when a binary gate opened to trigger the macro's condition. By the two responses posted to my question I am guessing that such a macro is not allowed? 8) Jac

I have said I am not complaining or trying to get anyone into trouble.
I have no doubt there would be humans doing it too .... I am only asking if it is allowed or banned? 8) Jac |

need sorting
also there's the warp on status/attack which is well annoying! |

The moment a macro reacts to 'losing hp', it's too smart and therefor illegal.

I agree, but jack is saying this suspected macro pots to his animation. Which makes no sense.

Thank you Ghostlord for the clarification.
S0rcerer, no I am not saying that - I am saying the "potting" happens BEFORE the animation. 8) Jac |

Ok, but why would the person potting need to take into considering the animation of the character attacking him/her?
Surely he/she would just look at their HP bar and if it moves, they pot? |

In which case the player must have had a very fast finger and if that is the case I apologise for casting aspersions. Well, I would if I knew who it was but I didn't get a chance to notice the name.
Merry Christmas. 8) Jac |
