At 60 skill there is a skill you can learn called field cooking which I believe means you can use a frying pan. At 20 skill i started using pans and have been able to fine. Is this skill necessary? Does it do anything else?

You can use frying pans from the start.. but not to upgrade or repair anything.. field cooking is pretty much a useless skill [/quote]
