3rd can hit 5 targets, 5th can hit 8.
It does no extra damage, its hits are also not guaranteed, costs more mana and stam. Blue lights though! |

Also only time 3rd or 5th knux is useful is tark palas and gargantuan fighters. No other mobs really swarm you that are worth hunting. You spend majority of end game from lvl 70/80 upwards on wbm and the aura becomes useless there as mobs will swarm you but stop at range from you so no point in it. Other 5th auras have a use, axe = pvp advantage, spear = hunting, sword (best 5th in game?) Bow = boss trace ect ( always thought bow 5th was a bit shit tbh) knux looks pretty but at the lvl you can actually get and use 5th there no point at all in it, it's designed as a hunting aura but there nothing left to hunt with it once you do get it

And a Random spawn spot every time around the map. Make D4 a map where people can not log off. |

.... Or, you (we) could take the opposite approach and make the spawn times and locations "known".
That also levels the playing field. I know it is "possible" to work it out from the feed and I have been trying to do so. BUT, there is a variant to the spawn time on most bosses and a server reset, GM spawn or other "event" screw that up. AND, the kill time does not reflect the spawn time. This all seems to negate data collection (basically I am struggling to do it). 8) Jac

So basically add a spawn range as well and we're settled? Could make it as big as a map or only 100 coords.
By the way, I must let you know that in the past Sylver has been reluctant to make bosses easier to find (through the armory and such). With good reason of course.

So I don't know what is right and I cannot rely on any of the data I collect. And, yet, some people know for sure. If a player tracks the spawn of a boss of their own skill and volition then I would say that is "fair play". There are a number of players who do seem to know where and when stuff spawns (I have never even been able to get to that Andro thing before it is killed and I need the souls just as much as the next player) - if they have that information through illegitimate means then that would be "foul play". If there is no cheating or inside information exchanges, does anything need to change at all? If there is cheating then perhaps target that ? 8) Jac

It all depends on the spawn timer. ie10% on top of a week or more can result in a day variance.

My example isn't reflective of reality Jack, was just an example.
I have seen some people create spreadsheets with the spawn timers of bosses going by player feed kills which can help give an indication of when a boss is due to spawn. I believe iSylver made a variance of a 10% as Ghost says so if you did make a spreadsheet you could find the earliest/latest spawn timer of each boss. As you'd have to keep this up to date on each event spawned boss or server reboot, most people can't be bothered with this.
