Can someone please explain the stat gain difference with these mobs little confused

This is my understanding:

All mobs up to and including WBM you get bonus stats when you have up to 10 more str than them, the bonus increases the less you have compared to the mob you hunt. So if you have 50 less str than the mob you'll gain max stats, if you have between 50-30 less str you'll gain the next band down, 30-10 the next, and finally within 10 str (+/-) of the mob you'll gain standard rate stats. Once you have over 10 str more than a mob you're hunting, you'll gain stats at a penalised rate for being such a pussy.

With Demented Warthogs and Crimson Apai those bonus rates don't apply, so you can only gain stats at the lowest possible rate, which you would get if you continuted hunting WBM with 195+ str, so because WBM are such a pain in the arse, everyone goes to hogs at 195 str.

Almost right. But WBM would be worse gains after 195, as that's the FINAL slowdown afaik. If you move to hogs at 195 the str per level doesn't change (actually gets higher but that's because you're higher level, not because of any difference in gains).

Wbm str is 185. But u have till 195 , -10 str before the slowdown and different rates to hogs
