"FINITO"If you are crashing when launching the game and have installed the Visual Studio 2015 Redist.
Then try deleting the following files in client folder and launch client again:
mfc140.dll
msvcp140.dll
vcruntime140.dll


tried this and now get crash but on other module name

Fault Module Name: mfc140.dll

one of the files i deleted ...

Then there is still a problem with the Visual Studio 2015 Redist. Check for and install windows updates then install the redist again (repair if it asks).

problem is solved for me .. reinstalled soma again / installed the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (64-bit) again ... now works somehow :)

Do you have details of the crash?

Client installer has been updated it will install the Visual C++ Redist and is fully patched upto current version.

I crash when I try to log into a char in VoD, or I try to move to VoD.

Was just in TYT, went to trace to someone in VoD and insta crashed, now I can't log back on. Can't log on another char in VoD, but can still log on chars in TYT.

Any ideas?

Hi Cyrox,
I had the game crash on me lots in VOD until I changed resolution down to 1024 x 768. I was previously on 1200 x 900 I think.

After changing, it didn't crash in VOD.
Hope this helps you out.

Very glad it worked for you too dude :)

Finito, pretty low priority I feel, but could you look into this sometime? It's weird that higher resolutions work fine on other maps, just Vod that I know of has this issue. (Though to be fair I have only tested TYT, Abias and Vod.)

Running multiple clients
This is currently no longer supported via the launcher. Shortcuts to SomaWindow.exe or SomaFull.exe will have to be made for additional clients.

Set the target path as "C:\Myth of Soma\SomaWindow.exe" 192.99.150.23 or "C:\Myth of Soma\SomaFull.exe" 192.99.150.23


Can you clarify how to multibox now please? I get ingame fine, but dc constantly when I try to multibox with a healer. I have soma installed in 2 directories with a shortcut from each somadevlauncher individually.

The shortcut needs to be the soma window or soma full file instead of dev launcher, then in the shortcut you need to add in the numbers at the end of your target path

i seem to have a problem with window mode every time i try to run soma on window mode it says client has stopped working and then comes up with debug option

For Windows 7 need to check that you have Service Pack 1 installed

Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 (Do this after installing Service Pack 1). Direct link:

Also check that you have Graphics Card driver installed and it is up-to-date.

On Windows 8+ you need to manually set reduced colour mode to 16bit in compatibility tab of properties for SomaWindow.exe.
