Upgraded to windows 10 and window mode is unplayable with a strange low fps type effect. I have tried all compatibility modes with no improvement. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

I will assume you have more than a single monitor as this is the likely cause.

The version of GDI32.dll that your Windows 10 has is not a version that is patched by the client.

The easiest fix will be to update Windows 10 and then the file GDI32.dll in "%systemroot%\syswow64" (64Bit) "%systemroot%\system32" (32Bit) should end up being version 10.0.5086.420 (Can see it within details tab of the file properties). This version is patched by client.

Thank you for the reply. However i play on an Asus laptop with the in built monitor. I shall update windows 10 fully to see if it resolves the problem.

After updating there is still no change. After reading though previous threads i can see the problem has been linked to using dual monitors however i have only ever used the laptop. Thanks.

I don't know what the problem is.

So no issue before upgrading to Windows 10?

What is the CPU usage of the client?

What is the specs of the laptop (CPU, GPU, Memory)?
