You've taken it all completely off basis. You're angry and volatile and I don't understand why. An opinion is one persons view on a subject. I wouldn't make a fuss if they decided to relaunch, which I very much doubt they would. My first post explained everything.

Meh I stopped playing Hood at lvl 78 because I was told by multiple people unless I wanted to punch to cap I was wasting my time.
I'll be honest when I quit I let Deimos use my character for trace - wasn't aware that was an issue really if it is then should be a rule. I can hear both sides - regular updates vs wipes - The issue I see is if Dan is busy in real life which is understandable, children don't just give you time when you ask. Everybody paying £1 or whatever would not help if the work hours aren't manageable and at the end of the day he's the man in charge. Can he hire someone? Can anyone be trusted? It's difficult - reading this thread I'd say is enough for anyone to close the door on their account! Maybe a fully fledged PvP server on the side would entice people to mess around, try the game at a decent level and play the current server. I remember chasing the lass round merc raptors while she was making her game network show. I'd like to see Soma survive. I made Merlin for example when this server was pretty young - hunted alongside Momster at Garg Shamans - got married, had a baby - didn't log on for 2 years and then made TheHood! So by those standards Dan has already been more active than me.

I also think that there are many people who play occasionally who will probably never reach level 100 (I know a good few) - they have nothing to gain from a wipe and everything to lose. There are also people who do play regularly but level 100 is an eon away at their "play rate" (I'm one of them) - they probably don't want a wipe either. The GMs and players have invested a huge amount of time, why take that away from everyone? We all knew that at level 100 the games flatlines somewhat .... Jac

What would be the point in paying someone to level a character on a 30 user count server?? and EVEN if they were would you really begrudge some one in a third world country making a few pence to better there self? On a positive note there are 5 "pilots" that now play the game because they enjoy it.

It seems to me that there is a lot of pressure on Finito/iSylver (and Ghostlord) to raise the level cap over 100.
If I were (especially) Finito or iSylver and spent my free time programming extensively for the enjoyment of other people with little or no payment, I would be pretty peeved to see other people make money on the back of that. I would also be peeved to see some of the people that were pushing for the cap raise not even bother to experience this new hard work themselves but, instead, have someone else do it for them.
Wouldn't they then just ask for a further cap increase?
That is to the detriment of the players that have played and enjoyed the game themselves and raised their own characters.
Soma would be a better place if there were more people playing and most of us will never reach level 100 anyway.

"ACAELUS" That's a bit odd. After I posted it, I was accosted in game and told that the Philippines is a 3rd world country and my objection to paying pilots is costing people there their livelihood. I was told they have no free health care, no benefits system and that if it were not for their income from here they would be suffering the worst case of poverty ever seen. I was further told I was a disgusting example of a human being. I have made an issue of stating that I screenshot everything but it still doesn't stop people behaving like dicks. I apologise to the Philippines and all that live there for potentially threatening their livelihoods and casting them into an abyss of poverty. 8( Jac
