Lot of people quit playing because they didn't percieve the game to be fair (Rightly or wrongly), some people get varying lengths of bans for the same crime (It just seems to be whatever you can get away with Ghostlord or perma banned after 2/3 bans and other chars are still ingame after 4 bans. Sometimes it just seems to be made up as it goes along.
If it were to be wiped, set the rules in stone with no room for interpretation / discretion.

So many lessons have been learnt from this server that can never be benefitted from without a wipe, so much potential that can never be realised. I don't understand the reluctence from Ghost/Isylver to even entertain it as a possibility.
It just seems to solve so many problems, you have extremely limited and insuficient development time to implement new content and deal with the bugs an exploits that usually accompany such releases. You don't need to do any of this, re-release soma as it was originally intended with the original rates, tyt, merc and even abyss was a blur to a lot of people. The rates so fast that no one got the time to really experience that content before they were in VoD, it took like a few months before everyone was wearing identical armor. The stance taken on cheating from day 1 set the precedent for the rest of the server's life. Being caught afk crafting brought a punishment similar to driving 10mph above the speed limit, a slap on the wrist. You'll get 2 more trys for that SR. Even if caught twice it's still worth the risk. Also, from several people there seems to be this nonchalent attitude that increasing the cap is obviously going to fix the server population problem. As if it's a forgone conclusion. A cap increase needed to of happened before someone hit the cap, once someone has hit it, it's already too late. That person has lost his advantage he's worked for, everyone has caught him up and trivialised the work he's done. The same for the next person to cap and so on an so on. You can't bring these people back with the promise of an extra 40 or less levels, it doesn't give them enough scope to get ahead again an enjoy the benefits. Soma is about the journey not the destination, I know you'll keep the Dibbler's, an the lupi's who think levelling a 2nd or 3rd character to cap is an exceptable way to spend your time but the majority wont subscribe to that.

I don't understand the reluctence from Ghost/Isylver to even entertain it as a possibility. the 47th chromosome is strong with this 1 .. you could have played and not quit early on. Give players with one or 2 ..mayb more capped characters to continue what they started... No good for a quitter to come on here begging for a restart when u couldnt handle one character.... its that simple nigel There's loads of ppl with lev 70-80-90+'s that want to finish what they started ... wtf do u want a wipe for? Its only gona bring back the lighweights that can handle a couple of months then leave again.. If ur an '' expert soma player'' u shud kno...... soma isnt for the light hearted or part timers that quit when the going gets a bit slow? I'd guess u were a wind up merchant..but, you spent so much time writing this . *sigh* Edit**some ppl levelled a lot more lev 100's than i have ..some in dl some in other guilds...;o

The vod raids should be made random for each race and not shouted out to the other race..
If its a seasonal event when usercount at its highest and bertha is alive, the raids are totally pointless as everyone is in town |

If ur an '' expert soma player'' u shud kno...... soma isnt for the light hearted or part timers that quit when the going gets a bit slow? Lupi according to your logic Plum, the guy that dominated Guild Village for 12 months was a massive light weight and a part timer. And you can only be considered 'hardcore' if you keep playing on your 3rd capped character right until the very bitter end of the server.

The fun parts of the game are when you don't know what you are doing and the social politics is still fresh, being able to experience that kind of environment is actually useful and isn't half the the time suck it appears, the drawn out no thought grind fest post that is a waste of time.
There's one thing I'd like to see before this game dies: Beta level reset, only able to access TYT/Merc/Abias/Dungeon at start, BLG/NM/Prismatic Shadows/D3 DWs removed, weapons/spell from Conti held back, and let people play the game at it's most basic and condensed.

But surely anyone that's come from e-soma and played multiple other servers are severly BORED of the lower levels we've done on EVERY server. It's always the part you want to get past to get onto NEW and exciting content that differs from EVERY OTHER SERVER we've ever played. I'm unsure as to why people are argueing to do the same shit over and over again. The only type of reset I could get behind, brand new maps, quests, mobs, starts, weapons giving different ratios, complete reformatting how the game works, or you're just doing the same stuff you've done hundreds of times prior. Also - Hello papy :D

"SILENCE" I said the same meny meny times on the old somadev forum. Should have released Hsoma only merc tyt and Abias. Then they could have rolled out content updates at set interverals. Dungen then Vod, then launce dsoma, then conti up date so on and so forth... with slower rates the server would have been better for longer.
