Yea i was .1 away from completing my con as it went down... Website keeps fkin up too...

Any GM available to inform us whats happening?

P.s ive wrote this 3 times now as when i try post it crashes again lol. Copy and paste this time me thinks ;p

Website is under going a DDOS attack at the moment normal service should remain shortly.

In the mean time create a shortcut on your desktop to:

C:\Myth of Soma\SomaWindow.exe 108.62.20.58

to get ingame

question is and not doubting anyone, but who's doing this? As far as I know there are no other servers up for soma, so why DDOS this one ?

Sorry I meant to ask did a GM say the server is being DDOS'ed ? Otherwise how does one know?

The manner of the lag and disconnects suggests dos attacks, although I don't think it's been confirmed.

Unfortunately yes it is it seems we will keep you posted.

The website seems relatively stable now but whoever is doing it now is targeting the main game server I have an idea who it is and I will be reporting them to their ISP.

Looked into this a lot a ong time ago, can get certain firewalls that can identify the attacker(s) IP. Then just write a script to block them.
