Luxy, we all want whats best for the game.
Lets put the shoe on the other foot for a second here.
Imagine you had played this for 3 years, stuck up with all of the obvious hate and bias against you regardless of how innocent you are(or not) just because you are associated with a guild name.
Along comes a bunch of fresh players who clearly act like gods gift (hence your hypocritical viewpoint - wanting everything on a plate for yourself because of your irl commitments which should be catered for in your opinion).
Get continually insulted by these new people who were thought to be the new lifeblood of the server, but are instead just hellbent on making it cater to them regardless of how much effort you've put in, all in the name of fun at the expense of your own entertainment which makes you wonder why you even played for so long.
These new people don't like that they haven't much of a chance at GVW because they virtually just made their characters, have no idea on the concept of cooperation or tactics, and think that it should basically be gifted to them just because they show up.
A new % system is put in place to make an attempt at giving these new people a fighting chance when all of a sudden the rest of the level 100s 'who quit' just decide to appear after months of hibernation and now you are rendered useless.
When you voice your opinion on the obvious flaws, you are shot down and told that you 'just want to dominate' and 'are gods gift' when its obviously and clearly the other way around since you worked on your character and gear to get where it is and the others have still yet to do that and still expect to win.
Something tells me you would be slightly annoyed too, and since the only ways to express your frustration would be to;
Not go to GVW - you would be breaking the rules "gifting the GVW to another guild" - banned
or
PK people - harrassment - banned
or
Post on the forum - get told to put up and shut up because you are ungrateful.

Because your idea of fun is to completely destroy it for everyone else who has played for eons. Go play a pvp server if thats your aim.

I'll throw back to the rest we wanted gv badly .. couldn't win for months and months and months so we as guild levelled and levelled club together to make gear and we got there . Levelling team work and skill is how you win a gv not moaning about how it's boring and not fun for 3 week old players

I'm uber sick right now and the Scottish lad in the other thread Nite really cheered me up with his banter.
Was just reading through this stuff... IMO having capped about a week after the recent patch it's nuts how much the rates were increased and it's never been easier to become relevant in either world dsoma or hsoma... One of the reasons I left was the sheer sense of greed this patch brought about in Dsoma with items and entitlement and that seems to be a running trend of new players like Path says of people the server is "Desperate to hold onto" This game was never about being the best for me, usually about helping people and personal goals. Level 90 is extremely possible now for casual players, if anyone wants to disagree with that then they are playing the wrong game. At level 90 I believe in both worlds you can be relevant - especially if you get lucky with gear. None of us can expect after 200-500 hours of play to turn upto wars against people with 1500+ hours and expect to stand toe to toe. It's a bitter pill to swallow but lashing out with claims pilots, multis etc etc yes they are here, they do play, they do abuse but that ain't everyone. Played Soma for 15+ years I've been in some messed up guilds with some messed up people but it don't make me a bad dude. I actually think with a cap the % system is fine, they're coming down to your level a bit so maybe it's time you tried to come up to theirs. There was people I genuinely thought a lot of before this patch and the greedy self entitlement really showed true colours; not something I have to put up with, I've got a 2 and a half year old - he's plenty selfish. Not everyone is a cheat. Not everyone is a multi. Not everyone is a pilot. Not everyone hates new players. Don't be alienated, it's the quickest way to fall out with the game and the people in it.

It's probably worthwhile saying that these threads add zero value to the server and if anything negatively effect the game. However, is there some merit to the post? Yes.
Was Mitchy in the wrong for doing what he did? No - it's a dick move but there's nothing wrong with it (unless he followed you from spawn to spawn/ had his guild members do the same). What this post reveals though is there is not enough penalty for constant player killing and what we need to do for the game is to restrict featuresets/make it harder to gain moral back when you are a devil moral player.

I can agree with your point about the pk/moral system is too easy to reverse but is it fair to make it a lot harsher to get out of devil when some aspects of the game(black magic spells) force you to go that way?
