Does anyone have a dex guide for a pure archer?

Currently I'm getting .1 dex every 7%, is this good?

I wouldn't know about the %. I can tell you however that gains are always calculated on STR (except for INT of course) - hunt a mob that you feel you damage enough, doesn't hurt you too much that has higher STR than you.

It would be handy to have a dex guide, a few people including myself are struggling to work out what mob is best for dex. I understand going for a mob that has higher strength and doesn't do much damage but still finding dex gains incredibly slow :/

Yeah, I understand the slowdown between 65-70 :/
i just think it'd be handy having some sort of guide as several people have struggled with what mob to fight to get the best gains. At the moment, it's trial and error which isn't ideal :/

But it's the same for every stats - this is a big part of Soma. The armory already makes it easier. Dex is one of the slowest stats and will always be hard to get, but very rewarding.

Every other stat has been easy in comparison, had a better idea of what mob would be better for str and int.
Surely I'm not the only person on here who has struggled to know what mob is best for dex gain? :(

You're saying trial and error isn't ideal. That's exactly what part of the game is about. I constantly check % gains mobs and roughly time things to see which is most efficient. Its not like there's and endless amount of mobs you need to test is there?

It has been explained on more than one occasion.

I shall give an example for you.

Willow has 80str and 50dex
Oak has 80str and 60dex

Monster A has 80str and 40dex
Monster B has 60str and 50dex

The best monster for both Willow and Oak to hunt for DEX (and STR) is Monster A.

I'm parroting what I and others have already stated when I say that:
"Whatever monster is best for you to gain STR on, is also the best monster for you to be gaining DEX on".

The monster's DEX in the armory (defensive and offensive) play no role at all in the speed at which you gain DEX aside the fact that you will have a high/low hit-rate on that monster.

When checking what monster you should be doing DEX on, just choose the monster that you would hunt to gain STR on.

It is that simple.

Thank you for explaining that to me, it now makes more sense.
I do, however, make no apologies for not understanding or finding it that simple. I also make no apologies for needing it explained to me a lot more clearly.
I have been asked myself in game about what mobs people should be gaining stats on and I like to think that I give them the correct information.
It's not often that I ask for help on here and I also like to think that a forum is there to help people. Sadly it seems that I am the only one, other than the OP, that has asked for help regarding dex, although I know other people have struggled.
Also, although it may have been explained more than once, I personally have only seen one other thread regarding dex and that made no sense to me, which is why I jumped on this thread.
Again, Sorcerer, thank you for your help.

No need to feel ashamed - It's better to ask than not knowing, regardless of how many times it needs to be explained.

Ditto this.

If you don't ask, you won't know.

This forum doesn't have a search function, so people that aren't regular forum goers could easily miss the fact that the question was answered elsewhere.

Either way, I hope you have your answer now, anything else, just ask!

Thanks to you both.
I think I've sussed out the best place going by what was explained so do appreciate the help.
That's if getting past this dex slowdown doesn't destroy my soul first before hitting the 70 mark :P
