Mob change question-help needed

Author Content Date
Hi guys, just wanted to ask firstly if we where aloud to change the mob skin ids in server files as from what I remember it would mean the mob appeared different in game if this was done.

I want to change prisms to anything else that is bigger if we are actually aloud to do it, I can't see why we wouldn't be but thought I would check

If anyone could give me a program name that will allow me to view it and even if isy could give the mob number of prisms that would be really appreciated

Thanks

Takeshi

Changing the skin of a monster should be fine, you're not getting an advantage over other players.

I use this tool to look through the monster skins:

I've tried changing the skin of prismatics also but can't seem to find the prismatic shadow skin.

tried to make them a bit less skinny so you can target them easier?

that's gaining an advantage is it not?

ps, how's that for doing your head in on the forum? lol

no not to make them larger but from what i remember if you say pris shadows are mob number xyz in the soma folder, if you duplicate a different mob such as altered beasts and change the id to the xyz that pris shadows was and delete the origional file, therefore the mob would show as abs ect,... or somthing like that

if this is ok with the gm's I hope they are going to share this with everyone so that there is a level playing field at pris regarding targeting them.

for anyone that hasn't hunted them yet.

because they are so skinny and move about when they cast, if your curser isn't carefully placed your casting time is increased due to your curser not being over the mob at the optimum time.

changing them to a fatter mob defiantly gives an advantage over players that have not changed the skin!

obviously, but as I said, the people who do or have will have an advantage over others which is a tad gay.

Standard Scoin being a difficult cunt again...

Everyone has access to swapping the mobs skins so do it if you wish.

Those who change the skins won't necessarily have an advantage over others, some people might have absolutely no problems with the Prismatic Shadow models. Maybe some players have naturally bad eye sight or are less coordinated irl...

Change it if helps you. Don't change it if doesn't.

Whilst it may be fine to do it, there would be an advantage changing skins, pris is the example.

I also do not know how to do it.
