Got to say im slightly disheartened i have not been able to see it in action. Was one of the new features i was really looking forward to. I know it caused crashes.

Does the team have any plans on fixing it or is it just going to be put aside?

In the future yes. However, it was crashing the server far too much.

thought being the new year id look back at old posts and found this being the oldest post on the discussion hall and im interested to know more about this npc vs npc ai and If iSylver and Finito have plans for this still.. just curious as its been 5 1/2 years!!!!!!!!! since this was posted... its been that long..and Look where we are now :)

with all the changes and things learned and changed with the game client im just curious to know if this could be implemented now without issues or worked on in the test server... could open up a whole new way of implimenting Guild questing...

Idea

escorting a guild npc.. (involves a npc thats programmed to walk from A) GV to B) Graveyard with a health bar of like 500k.. guild has to escort the npc successfully to get a guild buff...

if successful guild gets a +10attk/matk buff until next gvw starts... if the escort is killed by a rival guild... they get a +5 buff(accumulated guild damage determines who gets the buff not based off last hit)

Escort can be Slowed but not stoned in place and has AOE/DoTs to fight back ( nothing that will really hurt you.. just cause annoyance like mass giggle and confuse/blind and the Area the escort travels from A to B is :marked on screen with a Safe zone (which is the area u need to be in to partake in the mini event) if ur outside u wont be able to hit players inside the area or gain GPos.


Defending players have to kill attacking players and vice versa Gains guild Pos.. which u trade in for daily marks.. 50 Gpos a kill, 750 Gpos per Daily mark.. and the Gpos NPC isin the guild hall so u can only access it if you own Gvw..

players who die spawn at GvW entrance or Graveyard entrance depending on where the Escort is currently positioned when u you die so u can effectivly run back without wasting to much time running across the map

other ideas regarding Weekly Guild quest lines and storylines could be introduced off this activity

This probably isnt doable but i think it would be a cool addition and gives a reason to fight competitively for the gvw.. because... who needs trace

its a rough idea lol alot of tweaks needed..
