"IPHIOS""BELKA" it's not "super slow" but it's not exactly quick either. using knux: 70+ dex, 84+ str, at bone golems at lvl 61 it's taking me 1-1.5hr+ to get .1str/dex - works out about 5.6% each at quick count, dex maybe .3% more than str. int at 90+, at lvl 60 it was taking me 25-40mins to get .1int - works out at about 4.4%. I can only imagine int picks back up to 20-30 mins with FW at 91.

Gaining DEX after 65 or STR after 80 is so slow that I wonder why I should spend hours on each stat when my int will be the same speed it is now all the way till 95

It's not. Instead of pissing and moaning constant go check it out.

"GREATERIX""IPHIOS""BELKA" And the point that is just so tedious to read constantly on these forums is that the people commenting are only imagining. 25-40 mins is too much of a variance - something must be happening during a hunt to change so drastically. It will take closer to the 40min mark at 90 and it slows again at 95. Frost wind does not speed up int any where near that. It is seldom you get mobs lined up so nicely and unless you have 3 mobs you are not hunting effectively with your mana. There is a clear slow down at 90 and then another at 95. and then not another until 115. Not trying to say its faster than str dex in the slightest but what I am sick of reading is that its mega fast and OP. If its so fast - do it and get the MD like everyone else has done. post not directed at you despite the quote. We are all on an even playing field and can all achieve the same things. When you are attacking someone of similar int you arent doing anymore damage that you are when you are attacking someone of similar str providing you are using top end weapons.

"IPHIOS""ONAGA"I have had to spend a shit load of hours just to get from 70+ str to 80+ str, I don't feel any stronger at all really - because i'm not. For the time spent the gain isn't noticable at all in a pvp scenario when you compare it to the advantage i would gain if the same time was spent training int instead. I can remember in esoma when someone with 80 str was attacking someone with 10 less than them the difference in damage was very noticable, that extra 10 str really meant something. Melee was also a very viable choice in pvp, you could actually hurt people... if i am fighting someone with 70 str on this server with melee my damage is absolutely pathetic even if they are in robes mostly. The changes that have been made to armours/weapons in somadev seem to have made defence too high in comparison to attack, a simple increase in weapon attack should sort out the problem.

You are stronger - you are 10 attack and 10 defence stronger. Probably around 3 dex also.
No you couldn't have got that int. go try it and see.
"IPHIOS" nothing drastic tbh, just changes in hunting population. for example, i've had times at abias prisms with 4-5 others there hunting, slowing kill rate right down. Flipside, i've had times with 2-3 people there and have constant groups of 3-4 prisms on me. FW is easy to use effectively whilst there are few players around - stand just out of range of prisms and then pull them, they'll come in and all stand next to each other nicely. I went from 84.2 int on monday night after war, to 91 on thursday morning. since friday afternoon to now I've gone from 84str to 84.8str. There's no apparent difference in kill times - if anything I kill golems quicker with knux - the only reason it's quicker is that int mobs give more xp - about double infact.

I don't disagree in weapon attack increase. However I do disagree with it on weapons currently available. Your attack vs. defence of esoma is not so cataclysmically different as it is now that it renders melee as useless as it is made out to be. Was only a few hours ago I melee'd Pikutin who has hom and therefore a min of 5 str more than me, he also has apus and a large amount of dex more than me. I took him to needing one more hit to have won. Second time I took him to 1/4 of his HP. He did win both times. But why if melee is so fucked? - Because I have sword skill and top end weapons therefore reasonable attack. He has skill and top weapons along with 5 more str (min) and won.

"GREATERIX""IPHIOS" FW is not mana effective unless you have 3 mobs. The time spent aligning the mobs you would have killed faster with IF(in most cases). That comment was purely stating that int wont be cut in half or anywhere near 3/4s with the aid of FW.

So in your opinion myself and many other players should have to wait until we're your level before melee can be effective in pvp?
Not everyone has as much spare time to put into this game as some people do, but why does this mean we should have to wait months before being able to do acceptable melee dmg? If damage is increased on every weapon then we can all enjoy a more balanced game at every level, rather than just the hardcore players getting the benefits.

To further add to Onaga's post above, please stop with the you have to wait until higher level stuff. When you play soma generally you level around the speed as others around you. This essential is your group of friends or foes, as is key to people keeping active.
For example you will generally find there are 3-5 or more players who went from kobs to raps to trolls to wraith with you. These are effectively the people you can have fun with in pve or pvp. Except only with int. what happens if a player gets a rivalry with another one decides to do int and gets sorc armor and the other trains until great battle axe, well the int guy wins because GBA doesn't hurt him. A boost on the axe to that above defence would make sense.
