Guild village monopolisation: Is it a problem?

Author Content Date
Nb's win was fair and it was a good gvw at the end. The way we were treated the first 40 minutes however was ridiculous.

My views and opinions

What is war?
War is a group of people or groups of people coming together to achieve the same goals. Therefore, under no uncertain circumstances should it be forbidden to form alliances and work together. This is a MMO and player interaction should always be encouraged. the GVW cannot ruin peoples enjoyment of the game and so the same guild winning each week should not be a problem. The only problem will be if the trace system is every abuse to PK to that extent that other peoples game play is ruined.

the int game
Takeshi touched on int and the fact that people feel the need to only turn up when they have int. To anybody with int below 80=85 this is true. In my opinion there is no need to beat around the bush, no int = no war for that individual. With regard to the you can heal reply, well that's all well and good until you have a alliance who basically say xx is healing xx kill him and you spend the war running away or getting 2 shot with weaken.

stone rotation
Stone rotation is what keeps the war interesting for people attending the war, they need to feel like they have a chance to stand on the stone. It keeps the adrenaline flowing, Without this chance there is little point to turn up. Persoanlly, no one person should be able to hold the stone for more than 1 minute. This obviously makes the rest of the war pointless.

Possible changes
King of the kill: - implement a timer on the stone that tracks the guild on there, after an hour the guild with the most accumulated minutes wins the village

Stat adjustments:
Melee - I think that the follow F10 stats should change in the thrown room - attk +10%, def -10%
Magic - magic defence and magic attack reduced by 25% or a cap for both implemented.

Other ideas
No serums in stone room - an alliance should be responsible for curing everybody - +teamwork

Perhaps if possible make the stone increase your bagweight by say 200-300 meaning you have to be emptyish of pots etc to stand on it.

That's all for now, stay happy

Maybe it could be as simple as change it to a wotw 3 stone system?

Would be very difficult to hold 3 stones, and could make guilds hold a stone each, then battle for the 2nd towards the end. Just spitballing

For the record Dsoma GVW is fine, despite how much a certain sword user might whine

Hsoma should have their armour and weps stats increased by 10~15%, the killing potential rises more people die, lvlings a bit faster and devs get a better %.. everyone wins....

I don't think there's anything wrong with the current system.

Much like wotw, it's a numbers game.

If you don't turn up in numbers, you won't win.
If you don't value GV then you won't turn up in numbers.

What do people want GV for anyway? That's the question that needs answering.

Of course it is for you , trace is handy.

i think alliances full stop is just stupid as far as a fun war goes , the game is too small and does not have the population for such things.

Would be far better off having smaller say 10 man guilds although that's probably not possible or ideal now anyway.

As for Hsoma i agree with the fact that healing is far too strong now.

Pathologists idea is great , will be effective and not too hard to change.

Dsoma stone regularly changes hands if there are more than 5 people that show up

Agreed, team work of a few people can kill any char ingame that holds the stone at the moment. On DSoma anyway.

That question does need answering because at the moment I just feel like I'd rather keep my barr.

"IPHIOS"Potential to open trace to all guild?

I think that could make a good second defense perk, kinda like the healer and shop.

Agree with carnage for first time ever, seems like a good consecutive victory perk.

Like last week yeah? that was all of us + all of active beasts aka carnage
Never got remotely close to it .
Even then not like we can hit 150 dex much to cause much worry while the allied mages are doing there thing.

Still agree? ........................................................................................................................................................

Oh and before it gets said yes we was doing our best together to achieve that goal.

Last week you were outnumbered, but if you forget the defenders you could've killed (you nearly did) him with several people. I was in a party with him so I saw his HP.

Let's keep it out of this thread though - if you want to discuss it I'll be on tonight for GVW. :)
