Guild village monopolisation: Is it a problem?

"GILGAMESH"I'm sure Nb' felt this to a certain degree this week, and wouldn't have liked to have had the victory gifted to them.


Don't think anything was gifted unless I am mistaken?


Zyzz & Plum being kicked from the game each time they grabbed the stone surely takes away much of the 'fight'.

Plum died on the stone before I got on.
Zyzz I cant comment as I didn't see him anywhere near it.

The kicking to which you refer happened in the first 20-30mins.


I didnt mean that sentence to come out the way you read it. I turned up for the last 15minutes and from my point of view your win was well deserved. I meant that you wouldn't have wanted to be given a free win (not that you were given one).

Thats all the rest of active dsoma outside the holders+allies. We never came close to slayer being killed at all, no one can hit him carn included , maybe once in a while if lucky . Probably saw 5th dmg as i guess thats 100% hit thats all. Always will be 20-25 v 5 unless a horde of new devils have started and leveled?

Name any players that Still play that couldve made a difference that wasnt at the war?

you even said to me efukt should try for the stone a bit more , thats how much it was never even a hope, cause we was 100% trying for it, remember?

lol the problem with this game is that people wont accept there is a problem in first place , just denial

I'd like an answer as to why this was an issue in the first place?

Everyone always told me that No Mercy where evil, and because they allied with the Chinese Dyn and Equil had to ally. Thats fair enough. There was some really really good fights I have to say.

Then we had all the problem of DC's. And most of No Mercy stopped playing, currently there are only 3 people who actually level in the guild really.

But you kept the alliance.

Baring in mind, that its "rare" for the Chinese to turn up in any considerable force. I've only ever seen 3-5 max from them at the event.

Keeping the alliance like you did for so long.. Ruined one of the best features about Soma for every other guild.

Why was there a need? Surely its no fun for Plum to just stand on a stone and not have to use a Pot? I've been told by a RL friend of his he went two wars without having to pot? Can you not see some sort of change was needed?

I can't believe you guys even found that remotely fun?


Anyway, that aside. There is some good discussion going on.

Firstly, i'd like to see a "safe standing blue zone" replace the unofficial blue zone. To a lot of players its fun to watch GVW and to see what is happening, but when I try I just get 1 hit!

As for a change i'd like to see a system that the more time you spend on the stone, your stats decline by a %. This would cause guilds to have to have a "stone rotation" and actually have more swapping. Could even do it on a guild basis rather than a player basis. The only thing the "lesser" guilds really want to see is the fact they can actually get on the stone.

Forcing stone rotation would at least give this a chance of happening. While also meaning the stone holder could be hurt by lower levels.

I believe that heal should just be unusable in GVW's, will force more people to stand around the stone ready to take over if a guild member dies etc

I disagree with a % system idea or pot delay while on the stone.

I like the ideas to nerf Heal (only when on or near the/a stone).

DSoma GVW was brilliant tonight btw, could've gone to anyone! Congrats to Efukt!

If you take away heal then there is no point for lower levels to turn up, as we can't do any damage. Without heal we can't support (coming from a black mage with no cure).

"WARLOCK"Dsoma stone regularly changes hands if there are more than 5 people that show up

spam weaken, poison + blind, eventually people will run out of serums or keep having to stop outputting damage to cure.

do not underestimate how effective this is - those two seconds switching to cure and back again is enough to potentially allow another to survive/kill another/be killed.

This is the attitude that's killing GVW tbh.

If heal is removed - which would be an excellent change - it will all be down to pure numbers, high level or not, as it would be down to the last second with regards to who is on the stone last.

ONE thing I did just think of:

If heal is removed people who die must be instantly revived - otherwise you'd get series of dead people tanking stone.

increase the upgrades on eva/acc to 3-2-1-1-1 spread abit eps/rubies/eggs to lower lvl mobs than blgs
generaly make upgrades more accessible,so humans get incencitive to get higher meele stats i can guarrantee you stone will swap alot :P

test server monopolizing tho has nothing to do with hsoma gvw tho, NM had the best gear and could hold stone by themselfs
disabling cure/heal inside gv hall during gvw its great idea tho
