large presents

Author Content Date
There's no need to apologize, just be honest with your critique.

I think the main issue with the event is that the presents are just far too rare, as oppose of the rewards being so. The event mirrors the Halloween Event, but during that event you were getting tokens regularly. Increasing the drop frequency and reducing the good reward frequency would've been my option, just so players feel a little more involved (especially new, lower level users). Although I'm participating in the event by simply hunting, I don't feel like I'm in any sort of event because of that rarity, I'm shocked and reminded if I find a present. Rather than trying to actively gather gifts for Buddy to open.

I cannot play anywhere near as much as most people, but over the past several days I've made a little more time to hunt (getting away from the forge). Over the course of the event, I've found just 4 small / 1 medium presents and the mobs I hunt definitely give me stats (1 small present in the past 2 days).

The best part for me so far, was finding a bunch of Christmas potions dropped by other players in town, storing them and then later giving them to a new player starting out along with 50k. Would've been great to see a sharing aspect thrown into this event.

"ISYLVER"
"IPHIOS"By comparison to hallo event - is everyone finding drop rates quite slow? ;o
Got 4 before reboot last night within 30 mins and had about 4 since ;o

Perhaps theyll increase as the event progresses :o

Unfortunately this definitely has not been the case (at least leading up to Christmas).

Droprate of presents is sufficient... How many do you expect? I, on average have around 10 presents per hunt.
Granted each hunt is a few hours, it's still one hunt.

That's your opinion and I disagree. I congratulate you on your success. Maybe the rate is better on higher level mobs and/or DSoma, I don't know? To compare and contrast, my HSoma hunt of approximately 5-6 hours resulted in a single small present.

This has nothing to do with expectation, merely feedback and revisions I would personally make to such an event. That feedback can be used in the future, or it can be ignored.

I'm sure there will be a response. Just feedback from when it started a week ago, up to now. :)

Happy Holidays.

Feedback is good but i think non constructive and negatives should be kept to ones self very lucky to have a decent server let alone the effort to code and construct events etc even more so around Christmas time with real life commitments . Lets just say thanks and if you get any presents that's just a bonus as you would be hunting there for stats anyway :) merry Christmas all!

It's only normal to leave the presents under the tree and not peak. As Dutchman i don't celebrate it like that so i can open them whenever I want. :D

To anser your question properly - it's just something people want to do. :P

Equal chance of a drop from any monster in game as long as you gain stats from it.

Seriously, hadn't seen one until that moment, so I'd imagine they can drop from anything.

An update; I actually got one (Large) myself earlier, complete shock. First present found since my last small present, it actually came after I had found 2 Intense items and an AT in the midst, so my luck isn't all bad at all. :)

Presents are rare, but that's an impressive rate you're finding them on DSoma.
