So I originally played from beta Myth, for a year or so.
But I feel some nostalgia coming on and wanna come back and see how it is now.
So what's the deal now? Should I focus on con to a certain amount? Should I pick a specific wep to a certain point,
Or do con then int.
what mobs are best etc. Couldn't see any beginners guide or a here's how to make a decent human character.

am a devil char so my info is limited

id suggest getting a bit of str first, then do your con to 20 (can do con at anytime now (hp recal each lvl)

your probably better off going pure bow, get to scaled raptors early, hopfuly you will pick up a few herbs and if your lucky a SP or two

then its up to you, trolls > bone golems/devil warrios or get 70+ int and go nakid from 40 dex at wraith

You can do it at any time and you will still see the same gains??

Yeh you can leave con til a very late level now, as it'll recalculate as though you always had it.
Same with doing pure str or pure int levels, like you used to, you can mix levels now and it'll be fine.

Most people do a lot of dex to begin with, and finish on capping str for an optimal character - but do what you enjoy. Just make sure your dex is reasonably close to str to begin with, as some of the best mobs will become hard if you don't keep them close.

If you use the armoury feature on the website, you can work out the best mobs to hunt, as you can now get stat bonuses. The best bonus is +50 str mobs compared to your own (I.e. If you had 50 str, 100+ str mobs provide the bonus), realistically these are done with a tank. Next is +30 etc etc.

Generally, it's raps, then trolls, then dws, then valks, then shanis, then beast lord guardians .... Other mobs are available too tho, just check the armoury :)

The only problem with doing con later on is you'll loose % as it's hits based and you'll take less hits to kill a mob therefore more exp used. I started with 12 con and 11 int and by the time I was level 14 and 75% ish I had 30con.

Ah cheers for all the help appreciate it. What bricks still the best mobs to get con up on or scorpions? Also how long does it take to get 30 con?

This is a very good point - I did the opposite and waited until lvl 95, and by that time, you need all the precious percent you can get!

There are things called Birthday Bugs in town. Make sure someone hits them first as they hurt, but most people will let you hit there mob. (They only hit one person, unless they run away) - been a while since I've been in town, so not sure they're still around tho! If not, brics

I would suggest bugs yeah, if you can't find anyone in town hitting them I would use a second client (it's explained somewhere on the forum) bash out a Mage to say level 20 and use him to heal your main char while doing con. But also if you aren't wanting to do con straight away, get to say 50 str and then do bugs and you should be able to 1v1 them in one go without dying.

Create a new shortcut and have the Target as this;;

(assuming you installed it to C drive, else change to drive designation needed)

Because you need to make it 16bit colour. Not 256colours.

Yeah I agree and i'll prob have a character on the side for just fun, but also wanna try a slow time as best I can.

How long does it actually take to get 30 Con? is this increased stats and exp or is it the same as original Soma? in which case 30 con could take months?

Also after Dex using bow to 40 is it best to go Axe or sword?

If I remember from the old days Axe was best for str gains where sword was 60-40 str to dex sort of thing? is that still the same.

i.e. Can I just rock swords after Bow and it wont matter in the end?

This server is way faster than esoma ... 30 con still takes a while, but not months... Maybe 1 month at most. Someone else can speak from experience for that as I bailed on it.

Most people advised me to keep str close until 100, then decide what to do - this will make hunting optimum mobs easier. Axe is still top wep for str, but you won't gain much dex - sword being the second wep, with increased dex gains but lower str gains compared to axe.

I 100% agree with Warre though, do what you most enjoy.
