"BRAINSTORM""RONA""DEIMOS"Light arrow being the spell with a higher range than a bow? Yes, it is range 8. Very useful indeed. And yes my resolution is greater. Unfortunately Nightmares can see and respond at much more than that. But they are Magic (no pun intended) against whelps.

"JACKELPUP"Rona, No, I'm still reeling from Gravija's revelation. I will, but I'm not at all optimistic. I'll run some tests tomorrow and post the results here. But I guess the answer will be the Iron Fist. I've just been on the Nightmares using the Fist and running the first staff aura. It does use mana, but not at a great rate. My WIS is just over 100, and I believe that's a factor. It's no biggy really; my bagweight is nearly 1000 and with weight 3 100MP pots that's a lot of firepower. The folly is that you can waste resources upgrading gear in the belief that the sword will improve pro rata. It won't.

Have you considered using Magic Attack accessories and upgrades?

You do realise that you are doing 140Dmg with light arrow to the dummy because it has almost no magic defence don't you?
If you don't currently have enough Magic Attack to do maximum dmg on Magmas, you won't be doing 140 per hit on them. Raising INT to 176, using the rare Azure, and an int+ or MA+ set will only make things quicker on monsters you don't dmg-cap on (things like magma beasts and nightmares).

"PATHOLOGIST"You do realise that you are doing 140Dmg with light arrow to the dummy because it has almost no magic defence don't you? No, I didn’t realise this. To be honest it’s made my brain hurt. I think you are saying that the cap is the NET of my Magic Attack and the mob’s Magic Defence. Have I got that bit right? If so, it opens a whole fresh arena for further brain hurt. I guess this means that if the dummy had a Magic Defence of 10, it would show my Magic Attack as being 10 lower, and therefore possibly below the cap (but clearly not for the Light Arrow in the results I’ve shown). Have I got that bit right? Now down to practicalities. The armory is an interesting place, but I confess to not understanding how it works and I have been unable to find any key to interpreting the figures it provides. It doesn’t seem to show the mob’s Magic Defence. If it did, the dilemma resolves. It does tell me that the Magma Beast has Intel 170 and then puts (+0) in a green box (as opposed to a red one). Can you explain to me the significance of that box, and whether or not from the limited information in the armory the mob’s Magic Defence can be elicited, and if so how? Like Gravija, you have been extremely helpful and I thank you for it. I really hope you can continue to unconfuse me.

I think on armory bosses are generally -50 MD from the INT shown, and mobs are generally -20 MD from the int shown, could be wrong, but its a guide-line i use.

That little Green box or red box is the mobs stats compared to yours. Or for a weap / armor the requirements compared to your own stats :)

If you really want to know I will tell you. I look very much like Rona, but my hair is longer. I live in Campobello di Lacata, Agrigento Province, Siciliy, close to where the Mafiosi Giuseppe Falsone lived. He was arrested in 2010 in Marseille and is currently a prisoner. Visit him, and ask him if I am a timid little seahorse. If you are lucky, he will just laugh.

Se vuoi davvero sapere che ti dirò. Mi sembra molto simile a Rona, ma i miei capelli sono più lunghi. My English is quite good, don’t you think?[/quote]

Also something to note, with every 1 int extra or 1 ma extra from upgrades, its obviously an extra 2 damage per hit with weaken, these numbers can quickly add up for a lot of extra damage with magic.

"BL00D_SHOT"I think I love you.... Any reason why you're acting so thirsty on a soma forum? Anyway path pretty much it, 140 on the dummy doesn't necessarily equal 140 on mobs and players. |

JHAELIEN THE LEOPARDAny reason why you're acting so thirsty on a soma forum? She posted with great sarcasm and jest, so she got bullshit sarcasm back... you get what you give.
