Craft skill gain

People say craft daggers as it's down to how many attempts and crafting higher craft skill required items make no difference?

How come I get less skill when I craft a full bag of daggers than say a full bag of bastard sword or steel gloves??

I can craft less B sword or Steel gloves than I can daggers but I gain more skill?

Many thanks

Brad

you do get more craft skill when making higher weps. its just the material -:- skill ratio is best at daggers

Because your materials go further allowing more total crafts and as a result more skill. Mats is everything and theres not enough to go around. Fact is if you had mats up front you can 0-100 sr in 5 days.

There are bonuses.

If you have +10skill from required, you'd have to do far less crafts per .1 skill than if you had +50+++ of requirement.

Daggers are 0skill required, so the lowest possible bonus.

I believe the bonus bands are +0-+10, +10-+30, +30-+50 of requirement, then i've noticed no effect after +50.

Bonus route isn't really viable time-wise as you need far more materials, so I'd still suggest daggers all the way.

Perfect Flick, that is literally the post I was hoping for, thanks a lot.

Also I've got plenty of mats - 85k+ copper, 75k+ leather, 70k+ wood, 90k+ linen for now and just me crafting so I'm going to try keep in skill bonus range for now, I just didn't want to bother if the 'faster' skill gain that I felt I was getting crafting higher required items was just placebo.

Thanks for the help all

The problem is with crafting for faster skill, you will very quickly burn through those mats and gain less overall skill than if you used them all crafting daggers/shoes.

If you have unlimited barr and materials then go for it, but if you find yourself crafting your materials too fast you might want to reconsider going back to crafting daggers/shoes.

If following bonus route, knuckles seem to take you highest without use of bones, for weapons. MadDragon glove is 53skill req, compared to the next best highest req without bones (of a different weapon class), being blackdevil sword at 30skill req. So knuckles are your best bet, thought they cost a lot of bagweight per unit.
