I think most of the devils who are complaining about drop rates at LB's keep forgetting that we need a good influx of weapons, as humans pretty much have to upgrade them. Unlike dsoma where you get 1 good bow and never need another until the level cap is raised; humans constantly upgrade and break their weapons.

Saying this though, I think that the drop rate is fine and definitely shouldn't be increased. Rather, just remove some of the junk drops like silver bow/ GBA and spirit x-bows.

Drazil are pretty much a weapon/armour version of BLG which is nice, but lizardmen have ridiculous stats (90 def dex and low str), so I can't see anyone ever hunting them. Some form of alternative mob to LB's would be nice as a few others have stated, but it will still need to be attractive in terms of drops, and motivate people to attend war.

My suggestion would be matching LB stats onto EL and maybe one other mob that rarely gets hunted.

It's annoying that with so many different mobs around, so few are actually useful for gains.

I think the drops of weapons need to be spread out, at the moment there is only one spawn section of lb that drop the weapons people want.

There is too many small spawn areas, ie 3lb per spawn in a small area.

A way around to fix this would be to make only two spawns over a larger area.

So having only 15 lb over one side of the lake and 10 on the other. This would mean that weapon you want could drop anywhere. Giving a better chance for everyone not just the guy with top str hogging the Apus bow spawn.


Repost as I think out of all the options this seems to me the only real fix .

Ive never understood the point of having certain spawns dropping certain items. One mob should have a universal drop list. No matter where it is killed.

This shouldnt be a LB change it should be a server wide imo. I dont see why killing a southern palus should drop different to northern palus. Im sure there are similar situations in dsoma aswell.

As people have said there are many mobs that are not hunted because of this.

As a devil, i'de be perfectly fine with seeing the weapon drops added to all LB spawns at exactly the same drop rate becuase lets face it:

Just because weapons drop alot from LB doesnt mean they're all going to be an epic tag and if they are it doesnt mean they're going to be a good one or even one that class uses.

There is no such thing as an Axe of Pamoth or a Critical Penetration in this server, and considering Apus, Hom, Rap knuck ect arent even the final variants of Hsoma weapons (pamoth dropping endgame weapons) I don't think the availability should be confined to 1 corner of 1 map which they wont even be able to use some weeks.

So very true. Drops should be universal throughout the specific world, for all mobs (aside quest items of course). Though I think the intent behind area specific drops may be to channel players into those locations, for more conflict, communication, etc. If that is indeed the case, then simply make specific areas more mob dense and balance that out by making unfrequented areas a little more mob scarce. Like Devilfish at VoD entrance, is there a single mob spawn in the game as active? That spawn is truly impressive.

As a side-note Pamoth still does drop weapons so LB don't drop the top tier weapons. I'm all for generalizing LB drop file.

Should be possible for the masters of our universe, Finito and iSylver. However last time I played with the files (years ago) drops were limited to 15 different items. Hence the different spawns of mobs dropping different stuff. There are far more than that in conti weapons.

There is quite a large space between left side of the pond LB and where the drazil and elite lizardmen start to spawn, this space could possibly be utilized for extra LB. Very few spawn there currently.

is the reason for multiple spawns because the drop fields are full and you can't put all the weapons on one monster entry?

Could always make a few different spawns over a large area with all the weapons but then have them spawn close together within like 10 coords so it isn't too noticeable.

Has this been changed in the last reboot?

Apparently Demize got a female Tower shield drop from the east spawn yesterday evening.

AFAIK they only normally drop south of the abandoned boat.
